I think it is more indicative of a car that needed a fair amount of work with paint in less than great condition.

It is not one outlier, there are a bunch that sold for a lot.

I think having SO many for sale at one time hurts results too!

yup, I laughed as a kid walked by and was saying how expensive the Pagani is (and it is a 1 of 1, likely 3-4mil) and I said, you realize that little silver "thing" is worth MUCH more, and he said "no way" lol

When I moved into this building I did not know it was "car central" for Arizona! lol. The 2 best Ferrari shops and the best detailer in the valley are all right here. Its fun!

I’m not saying any particular car is, simply that it only takes one (or a few) in a highly visible platform to create an artificial market of sorts.

I did take a minute to look at BAT results though, and it seems to me that results in the mid-100’s to 200k seem to be fairly consistent.

Am I the only one who thinks that 161K for that TDF converted car with a lifetime warranty (well as long as EAG is in business) is well bought? Again, it shows that the converted cars are selling for more than the sum of the parts (car + conversion). That car was very pretty!

I’m curious what the redacted or non-constructive comment was within the last 2 hours to the finish line? If anyone saw before it got blanked out?

I saw it - it was a long commercial for EAG. That is why it was flagged. IMHO, they should have left it as it speaks to the company, but I guess they decided it was too commercial.

In the commercial was the fact that they would lifetime warranty the parts and software upgrades on this VIN.

    edit (I found the text):

Now eag replies with "without having inventory count in front of me at the moment, ball park 25-30 575's and around 40 599's."

Anyone else have a hard time believing this? That is nearly 2% of all 575F1's

And seeing the issues that DDE had on their EAG 599, I cannot believe 40 599 either!

I’m pretty skeptical. Aren’t their conversions like $60,000, at least for the 599?

Was Tyler Hoover (Hoovies garage) also not without issue on his 599 as well)?

As a counter I thought @mrp_e is very happy with his EAG 599?

The invoice for the 575 shows $35K parts and $10K labor. I dont know on the 599, I thought it was $40K or so.

    Well, that’s not SO bad…

There was a 599 we discussed here not long ago…all in wih parts was a little north of $61k.
I think it was an EAG kit that someone else installed

Edit - and yes, I think $161 plus buyers fee is not bad at all assuming the car really delivers the experience.

so I went to see the 575SA and the top seems not to work and throws a code.

There is no delam which is great, but it seems not to be working correctly.

    Car looks very clean otherwise.

So what’s with the never ending supply of 550’s on BAT? I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a steady stream as we’ve had over the past several weeks…

Too many at one time is killing the bidding IMHO.

I think people saw how much they were selling for and rushed a bunch to market.

BAT should really make some effort to spread them out over time, not list a new one as soon as the last auction closes. Just not a good look, and definitely hits prices. I guess they don’t care so much as it’s fixed fee to them, sellers take the hit.

    Gentlemen,

Yes, I am a bit of a data geek so I uploaded the data and tossed the low and high offers/sales from BaT. Trend seems to be stable to soft when the anomaly of the $260k and $290k are removed . I would attribute to seasonal behavior. In general, looks reasonable.

Yea, I like the data too! =)

I think it’s even worse than back to back. Lately they have had 2 550s and a 575 live at the same time. I just think it’s greedy of bat as it does not serve the seller or market. It makes people “feel” like the prices are softer than they really are.

I will say it does seem like the overall car market is pretty weak at the moment.

Not sure you can toss out the two highs and not then also eliminate euro and cars with issues (those needed service, etc). I think you have to use it all unless you want to start qualifying things and then it becomes too granular. Those “anomaly” sales are real.

I was attempting to smooth the data. It didn’t make much of a difference. I added proper trend lines on my graph at home. We can all take away from your data and my chart as what we see. It’s apparent the market is not falling out on the 550’s. Appreciate your observations.
