Imagine next gen SF90 3 years to customers and may not be a V8, these and more will get gobbled up.
Many buyers don't have cash / need financing - auctions / FSBO is not a true reflection of what dealer sells SF90.

SF90 new tech from auction or FSBO is questionable vs dealer support for buyer / seller.
La Ferrari P1 918 battery replacements eye watering - yet rise in value and SF90 1/3 price and warranty.
XX- 1m & SF90 could go up vs down.

Pls don't compare sf90 to LaFerrari markets.

Normal depreciation on regular production Ferraris has returned. I think even some new limited edition models like the XX might struggle to hold onto MSRP over time.

  4. And not just because of they have totally different depreciation curves.

I tend to agree. With 200+ SF90's (coupe and spyder) available in Europe and 150+ in the US there will be plenty bargains. Those who played the Ferrari game (buy an SF90 to get an XX) might be hit with a double drop !!

    Wow
I compared the performance at 1/3 the price and less maintenance - that was pretty clear and it's true.
Personally struggle to enjoy driving cars that attract the wrong attention - LaF 1.5m msrp - not sure why it's sensitive - it's a car with high production.
P1 weighs 3285 vs LaF 3527+ no offense but not impressed by LaF and price today doesn't make it a better car to drive.

    Having a lil fun

Remember driving a few cars - Enzo F40 and walking away SMH
Porsche went with a manual Carrera GT probably the best and most dangerous car I have ever owned.
Some of us love the SF90 and Ferrari XX it brought me back to the brand.
If we want to talk about great cars because of $ value - boring

to me its very obvious why the second hand prices for sf90's are faltering.....
    - the number of them bricking themselves
    - the battery repair/replacement costs

the guys who have had trouble cannot openly talk about it since you signed NDA's and we understand that. but those of us who dont have one and havent signed the papers can tell that its not a good situation.

the stories about how the battery replacement is a closed loop within ferrari spa, where you are obliged to buy a whole new battery pack, send the faulty unit back to ferrari, where they simply replace the faulty packets within the set at a relatively small cost, and then push it back out the next guy who needs it - at full price.....also not a good situation.

so any sf90 off or nearing the warranty deadline, will be treated with some trepidation.

personally, as the owner of quite a number of old and cantankerous cars, i have a high tolerance for automotive ********, but i can think of at least half dozen other cars, never mind ferraris, that i would rather own for $500k.

sorry to be blunt. but its obvious.

yeah, it's basically over now I think with a couple of exceptions (the puro for the moment and the next hypercar)

sf90's and 296's dropping heavily here

The UK has been a particular (worse) market for sellers for a while, but it seems the trend is now reaching mainland Europe - on mobile.de there are 250 296 GTB for sale, and they seem to be typically priced under MSRP.
There are also 173 SF90; I'm less familiar with the original MSRP of these but I guess the situation is similar (there are many priced under 500K EUR and I doubt it was easy to get a new SF90 for such prices, given how much is charged for basic options).

The new Ford GT - had no issues yet it doubled - right?
The P1 918 LaF had no issues either right? yet heavily increased
I also have quite a tolerance for old and new - never have I seen so many owners or enthusiasts who don't own a specific model zero skin in the game chirp but for "Ferrari people". Let's just stick with the facts about the SF90 from owners when it comes to their ownership experience.

Further very few few people who actually own SF90 or LaF post here - maybe a few percent if that.
Bad news travels faster than good news - yes a few posts here about a few issues. Same with Roma Puro 812 it's not just the SF90 welcome to exotics.

Aston Mercedes struggled and still struggle to get their hyper car even running - years later.
P1 918 LaF also struggle with battery etc. but for some reason are special and g-d forbid someone speaks ill of those.
Welcome to modern day issues - where Ford is in deep trouble.
This battery thing is not just the SF90 - my point is and remains - SF90 one hell of a bargain and car IMO and others who own them. I have never heard this NDA thing and don't know one out of our dealership that has had issues. In fact many are taking and some daily driving the. SF90.

I really shouldn't post here - it's a waste of time reading and responding to ones who just post to post.

Not sure why you’re comparing the SF90 to the FGT (hand built, non-hybrid, iconic/homologation model, low-ish production #’s) and P1/918/LaF (limited edition halo cars).

How many SF90s have bricked themselves? What are the details of the NDAs that SF90 owners are forced to sign?

there was a thread on this subject, but it has essentially dried up because of the nda.
i am not privy to the language in the nda, but i suspect it says something about not speaking about the process at all, under threat that ferrari's 'help' with the issue be removed.

i do agree tho that battery issues will transcend all makes and models, and have said so in a thread on this subject in the political section,.

I own a SF90. It’s never broken down or been bricked. There is no NDA. You don’t know how many were “bricked”, but you’re implying that there were so many that it’s affecting resale values. So in essence, you have no clue what you’re talking about. Got it!

I love my sf90. no problems at all. but my dealer had one client with a big problem. car was out of commission for 3-4 months. and I spoke with one other seller who had a number of small problems. bugged him enough to trade the car in. I've never heard of any nda about any of it.

Of course I've read that thread, and as I stated, you don't know many of the total number of SF90s produced have been bricked. My guess is less than 1% (feel free to provide data that proves me wrong). Also, as I stated, no SF90 NDA exists. Enjoy being ignorant ;)

you evidently believe i give a damn....

i did not start the thread, and i dont have the data any more than you do.
all you have is your own car......

the respondents to that thread do have some data and have indicated that they are restricted from commenting on it.

once again, you can infer whatever you like, just as i have.

however, THIS thread is asking the question as to why the depreciation curve on this model is so steep....
i am offering an opinion, which seems obvious from the outside.
if you have a different opinion as to why the drop is steep, pls tell us.

otherwise you are simply in denial and lashing out.

You decided to respond to this thread, so that tells me that you indeed give a damn. Otherwise, you wouldn't have posted at all. My "lashing out" is only at you for posting non-factual BS. I'm actually not worried about the depreciation. I just get annoyed at people who don't know what they're talking about acting as if they do. So, to summarize, bricking isn't causing depreciation, and the "NDA" thing isn't real.

i comment on things throughout this site, and have done so for 22 years.
this is interesting to me since it will impact many things for ferrari going forward.
you can be annoyed, but take it up with the others that have commented about similar bad experiences.
your own conclusions are your opinions, and not fact, same as mine.

it is good that you are not worried about depreciation - i encourage you to drive your car as much as possible since that is what they were intended for.
