Hello Joe, I have a 76 Euro Vetroresina that I purchased in Switzerland, had shipped to the US and was mechanically restored by Dave Helms in CO, $100K in receipts. The car runs flawlessly. I am open to discussing a sale.

RM Sotheby’s has one on their used car lot. They’re asking the moon, of course.

That was one of Walt Medlin’s cars.

This is the car I mentioned in my post above, fully restored still for sale according to their web site. Oro chiaro is much more attractive in person. It doesn’t photograph well.

It's the same one Terry linked above for sale isn't it? Looks like they cleaned it up and put new windshield in it but didn't finish the front fender and hood? Wonder how much water it had in it?

I don’t think so. It’s at RM Sotheby’s private sales.

 

It's the same car. Same hood and right front wing damage. Sold at Sotheby's for $78k and now Aaldering wants $130k after cleaning it up and putting a new windshield in it.

What I don't get is why fix some of it and not the rest? Or I'm completely missing something.

 

So the car shown in #9 and mentioned in #3 is the same car as #8 or #5? I’m talking about a car (in my posts above) that RM has had for private sale for months…not the Medlin or the Aldering car(s).

 

Sorry, #8 and #5 are what I'm talking about. It still seems odd they fixed some of the damage and not the rest. Seems with a bit more work they could ask a lot more for the car.

 

Then I gather that Aldering was the buyer of Medlin’s car. I didn’t realize that.

 

Well it's the same car for sure with the still smashed wing and hood.

 

Pretty cool the tie in to Walter.

Glass damage is half the cost of repairing steel.
The fact the dealer did not tells me he's afraid of "where the market is" on these.

But that interior looks very nice.
There's not many out there these days.

I have two extra hoods if anyone actually buys it.
They would have been aluminum??
I have never seen an actual 'glass skinned hood
