After all these pages, maybe, just maybe, the gang of 5 can simply say “I don’t like the guy” and then STOP.
No more “it was the car”, “fairy dust”,”he’s lucky”, etc. You guys are welcome to not like the guy…you sound like a 12 year old when you say a 7 time WDC was under the powers of “fairy dust”.

I always say in sport like in business or politics "You don't have to like the person, just respect the achievement. "

But for some folks, it's too much to contemplate, so they attack from many different angles. It looks very juvenile to me.

I have limited experience with Ham, but I cannot say how or why on a public forum.

What I can say is that his record books in F1 are impressive.
His character away from the cameras however is less than impressive.

I cannot comment on Max as I've never met him away from the cameras.

A good measure of someone's character is how well they treat people whom they don't need to treat well.

Sure and it appears Ferrari, the Luxury brand have no issues possibly hiring him. He's taken a car capable of wining and has won races and titles. Whats the problem. None actually for Ferrari it appears.

Yep thats a nice lack of emotional control right there. Such professionalism that was. Sure he was young but he is in the big game and in front of the media assaulting another driver. Has anyone arrested LH lately for assault lol.

I guess 2025 is the year I'll stop being a Tifoso then. :(

If he goes to Ferrari best of luck to them but that's the day I'll be officially done with the team.

LH hate or love him has at times 30mil+ social media fans. Thats alot of free Ferrari adverts lol :)

This is latest I find on LH social media #'s = Hamilton has over eight million X followers and a fanbase of over 35 million on Instagram.

If this is all true Charles environment is about to change and radically in and out of the garage. More challenges ahead.

Are they really Ferrari fans or Lewis fans? ;)

I don't mind either way what people do. I just can't support him or any team he drives for. If I did I'd be a hypocrite.

Besides, does anyone really believe Lewis will play 2nd to LeClerc? Would LeClerc be happy playing 2nd to Lewis? There are no equals in an F1 team.

Vasseur states clearly no number 1 until the team has no choice but to support a driver in the best position overall. I do not see LH switching based on 1 narrow over valued criteria we appear to be thinking apply.

IMO he would only switch to remain relevant. Nothing worse than losing the spotlight after all these years of basking in its' glory. last year had to be really painful for him.

We all know though no matter what Vasseur or anyone else says there is always a #1.

Well where does one draw the line?

I've been a fan since I was seven but I can't blindly support a team if I don't respect their driver. Do I still support Ferrari but just cheer for LeClerc? Or do I suddenly hop on the Lewis band wagon just because he's part of the Scuderia? Personally given how I feel about Lewis it would be unfathomably hypocritical for me to support him just because he is driving for Ferrari. I'm no Homer.

I accept that not everyone gets or likes my opinion.

like Brock Purdy, I never understood the hate. Then again, I don’t know him personally. When I’ve asked folks here many times, the best criticism I got was he whines when things aren’t going his way. Probably, but lots of GOATs are worse, say MJ, Federer, Ronaldo, Tyson, Butkus, Cobb.

the second reason is his political grandstanding (often uninformed or hypocritical) guess it bothers me less since I’m not exposed to it as much, and even if so ; I don’t turn to him for social economic guidance.

so besides these two things what made you two sour on him?
