I literally don’t see any of that. Honestly he’s one of the lower key guys there. Aside from his fashion. He just gets brought up ad nauseam

Whether or not it reflects his true feelings IDK, but there is a PR statement from Toto on the Merc website:

Toto Wolff, Team Principal & CEO, commented:
“In terms of a team-driver pairing, our relationship with Lewis has become the most successful the sport has seen, and that’s something we can look back on with pride; Lewis will always be an important part of Mercedes motorsport history. However, we knew our partnership would come to a natural end at some point, and that day has now come. We accept Lewis’s decision to seek a fresh challenge, and our opportunities for the future are exciting to contemplate. But for now, we still have one season to go, and we are focused on going racing to deliver a strong 2024.”

I think he always knew Ferrari was at least on Lewis' radar (he has commented on it before)

It's due to folks that disagree with his personal choices and beliefs. The lines he takes off the track get confused with racing ones.

Sorry I just can’t back anyone with poor character and integrity.

I’m not a win at all costs type of person. I have to respect the people I support. I don’t hate Lewis but he lost my respect as a man years ago.

Ferrari doesn’t care if they win. It’s all about their stock price now and this move supports that IMO.

Im just happy I got to experience the old F1. This new staged circus show sucks. I have better things to do with my time.

He did a link into Brackley telling the employees about Lewis going to Ferrari in 2025. Toto was in another country hence the video conference call.

Merc signed him up in 2019, three years before he finished in karts. I'm sure he'll be free to go to Ferrari when he's 39!

I don't get it. Ferrari have two very good drivers. They just have a crappy car. How is Hamilton going to fix that?

Very good point !! Ferrari's decisions often beggar belief. They like to defy all logics.
They sometimes thow a stone in the pond, and then for years watch the ripples they have created.

The only possible reason I can see is Hamilton's feedback to the team. Other than that, I don't see him having the drive he used to. Can't say you blame him. If this is his swan song, its probably going out with a whimper than a bang.

Elkann sitting in his office: "Who was the only driver, who has beaten Max and Red Bull last year and who got us our only win? Sainz? I wonder how can I thank him... I KNOW! I will fire him and I will announce it before the beginning of the season!"

Ferrari strategy is getting on a whole new level...

Well, we should all celebrate the news as it’s going to be very positive for Ferrari, as Hamilton is a referent for many people who didn’t have a interest in owning a Ferrari ever.

So they would turn away their bouncing Escalades and the like with rims the size of a small moon and we willl surely benefit from having a place in cabin to store guns.

And being a tasteful fashion icon, Ferrari will benefit from selling the truly elegant clothes that will appeal to Ham and his followers.

    All good, isn’t it?

I don't blame Hamilton in any way. He can conduct his career the way he likes.
But I question the interest of Ferrari in this recruitment.
I thought they had 2 drivers good enough already.

I really hope CS would stay. I think hes a solid shoe. There has to be more back story here. I'm sure Ferrari liked the brand pairing deal, but is thats all it is? The Ferrari drivers always seem to be low key and Ferrari first. I hope they hold him to the same. Forza Ferrari.
