I'm waiting to see what Ferrari is going to do regarding "all that mess" that Hamilton brings into F1.

The drivers walk into the paddock with team shirts already on as opposed to Hamilton walking into the paddock with "the flavor of the month" outfits when at Mercedes.

Interesting to see what the Scuderia does.

I doubt they'll care about his fashion, as long as he produces results and is respectful of the team.

Everyone on here has bitched that Ferrari needs to recruit English designers and engineers. What do you think this will do? Should Hamilton arrive at Ferrari, there will no doubt be English (and other nationalities) designers that will trophy chase Hamilton to Ferrari.

Those same techs will work with Leclerc on car design direction, even if Hamilton gets his own race engineers.

Red Bull, Mercedes, McLaren, and Aston will see some of their talent want to be at Ferrari if they think they can be apart of an end of career Hamilton glory run.

One positive thing is that his F Future replacement will be an improvement.

+1 with little data on how his situation with Ferrari was handled overall. Guess that is not a priority now.........

I hope that Sainz will find a decent drive for 2025 and further, and that his career will bounce back.
Carlos is a solid, and experienced driver, without much drama. He deserves another chance, IMO.
Mercedes will be looking for a driver, but maybe a straight swap with Lewis is too much to ask for .
Could a replacement for Perez at Red Bull be on the cards ? Huum , I doubt it. Marko didn't like him.
There is always a possibility for 2026 at Audi; they are very quiet about their intentions.

I don't know Patrick. Ferrari is pretty strict when it comes in the paddock attire, attire at Ferrari F1 venues, and cars that their drivers are seen in and cars they sign their names on.

Toto stated that Mercedes saw their relationship with Hamilton ending "2025 at the latest".

I think it's easy to see what happened with just that comment. Toto has made it clear to Hamilton he don't see him as a viable driver for Mercedes past 25'. That they don't see him winning races regularly as in the past going forward. On those point, Mercedes were unwilling to offer him a multiyear deal. Just a one year with an option. From Toto and Mercedes view, "take these two years and retire as a silver arrow, or find some place else drive beyond that" and so Hamilton reached out to Vasseur and Ferrari, and got a long term deal from them to drive into era Mercedes thinks he can't.

I'm thinking Hamilton was insulting by the idea he's only got two years left in him (at most), and Mercedes have not taken kindly to his comments about their cars.

I agree 100%... this will be entertaining for sure. While I never agreed with Hamilton's politics...he's seems to have calmed some...you can't take away he is a great driver.

Will Ferrari advance enough to let Hamilton shine or will Ferrari be like they were when they signed Alonso? Hummm

I think this is great, great news. The only downside is that it didn't happen a few years ago. Hopefully Lewis has had sight of both the Merc and Ferrari plans for 2026 and has seen something he likes at Ferrari.
Of course there will be the haters - it was the same when Schumacher, Vettel, and Alonso came to Ferrari, but a couple of good results will silence them. I know there are many Lewis fans who are also upset as they see this as him joining 'the dark side'!
I would be happy with any talented driver joining my team. Some would take me a while to warm to. I disliked Vettel before he joined us and I'd feel the same if Max did the same. Now if Ferrari were to hire Christian Horner I would have some serious soul searching to do...

I agree. Until now, every driver who joined the Scuderia had to fit in with their traditions, protocol and attitude.
Maranello doesn't tolerate much individuality; people working there were supposed to contribute to the image.
Will they make an exception for the sort of diversity Lewis Hamilton has promoted so far? Not certain.

Will Ferrari tolerate Ham's fashion and politics? Yes. Will they tolerate open criticism of the team? No way.

Those so-called politics are not the Italian way and IF SOMEONE CAN CORRECT ME BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO ITALY, Ferrari won't tolerate those politics let alone the tifosi because of the Italian and Ferrari culture.

Of cours if SF starts to win races, it would be because of the extraordinary talent of Lulu, not because of a great new car.
I think Lulu has a lot to gain on this move...
I dont see what SF has to gain on this move, maybe increased sales of new Red baggy pants?

Desole, mais j'ai pense que vous etes trompe. Leclerc est un moyenne pilote. if fait tros d'erreures. Mais j'esper que vous est juste.

my French writing is rusty at best.

I think putting Leclerc under more pressure is not going to help - it will ultimately drive him away. I also am very dubious to Hamilton's ability to develop a car... and in particular at Ferrari. Ferrari is unlike any British team, and that is all Hamilton knows... he will have culture shock, and then Ferrari Shock. Perhaps I will be shown to be completely wrong... but I dont think so. Ferrari would be way better served to go after Newey and make him responsible for the entire team... like Brawn... Hamilton and all the money and social media circus will just be a huge distraction for Ferrari.

We all saw just how quickly Cult44 turned on Mercedes. Does Ferrari believe they're exempt? If they don't deliver a) a car and b) championship for Lewis (a championship for Charles won't bring an ounce of harmony, believe that!), their social media (that drives everything these days) will be utterly ****ed for the next decade.
