Silver is such an underrated color for 328s. Great photo.

To my understanding it's one of only two in North America in the silver/red combo. Mine's a US spec car.

I've been doing some informal "back of the napkin" math on your username and your years of ownership :) -- very glad you are still enjoying the 328!

I'm 82. In good health, in good shape. Need a 30K on the 328 or I'd take it on a Florida, from Texas, road trip. Will be taking the C8 in place of it. I've got more than 60K miles on the 328. It had 21K on it when I bought it. I often split the DD duties between the two cars. Prior to the C8, there were two C7s, a C6, and a
CTS-V 3-pedal car to share the garage.

    Here comes the hate.

    1. I hate the lazy boy seating of the 3X8 Ferraris. Plus, they feel big (even when they are not).

1a. The notable exception is the 308 GT4. Now, if only, it had air conditioning.

    2. 348. Seriously? Before you buy one, ask how to change a battery. The car has to be on a lift because the battery goes in underneath the car. Try that when the car dies by the side of the road due to a dead battery.

    3. 355. I don't fit. I'm the opposite of the Italian gorilla. I'm 6'2", long waisted, short arms, and fat. BTW, I don't fit in a 250 SWB either.

    4. 360. Perfect, just ****ing perfect and a A/C that works. Game over.

I waited 60 years for a Ferrari. Porsches, etc., were in my "budget." I just didn't have the money, plus, as an international photojournalist I was on the move for decades.... watched the sun come up and go down over 58 countries and all 50 states...

    What is the Italian gorilla?

Imo the 3x8 seating is not the lazy boy’s - which btw I love, buying a second one! - but what is needed to keep the car low, and I see it possible also thanks to the transverse engine. I do not think it is accidental if with the 348 the seating position was straightened up.

I was torn between the 430 and 348.
My 348 is unbreakable! 26 years of ownership, many, many track days, and 100% original INCLUDING clutch, water pump, starter, alternator, rotors, calipers, headlights, etc, etc. up until this summer when during the big maintenance we decided to replace the water pump simply as a matter of maintenence. Also, everyone of any age knows its a Ferrari, probably because of the Testarossa. It also drives like a go-cart.

On the other hand, to me, the 430 is the best blend of the modern: very-very fast, paddle shifted, really good controls, fast window lifts, automated convertible top, power seats, great heater and a/c, low cost of ownership, supercar performance, etc. At the same time it does not have the over-reaching interferance of modern cars: too many warning voices, bells and buzzers. Too much performance for a street car. Because of the performance capabilities 488s and other uber-powerful cars eat up brakes if used for track days. Too much electronics.

In a nutshell both the 348 and the 430 look good, are inexpensive to own, and comparatively, are simple compared to everything since the 458!
