An interesting feature of #1564 is that it has a red headliner. I also have copies of the emails from Nancy Sinatra confirming the ownership of #1564 by her father.

Sonny and Cher had one too!

"In true American hot rodding fashion, the first sign of trouble from the finicky DOHC power plant--we hear that Sonny Bono was quite the lead foot in his day--prompted the installation of a Super-High-performance 302c.i. Chevrolet V8, back in 1970. This motor actually features many of the characteristics of the 4.7-liter lump, which redlined at a low 5,500 rpm and had good low-range grunt (340 ft/lb torque @ 3,500 rpm). The particular four-bolt main bearing, solid lifter, 5-liter engine with cold air induction employed here runs and sounds fantastic; the small block can easily be revved to 6,500rpm, is roughly 10% stronger, and provides even more torque than the original.
Coupled to a TH400 transmission, it represents the best of all worlds, turning this Ghibli into a truly exciting, worry-free "driver"!"

This would be the 67-69 optional 302 Z28 engine out of a Camaro. This engine was homologated for the Trans-Am racing series. Chevrolet put a 283 crank in the 327 block. This was a high revving short stroke large bore engine.

    Julian,

unfortunately, I do not have the VIN of the "Bunny-car". But years ago, I was in contact with an ex-employee of HSC who told me that he had delivered a Ghibli in "Rame"-color to Hefner. He further told me that the car came in again after Hef had a small crash in it but he could not recall whether the car was repaired and sold on or returned to the Bunnies...

    Hello everyone.

Been a couple of years since I've been here - a quick reminder, I am 2nd owner of AM115-336, an early Ghibli, car #46 imported to US and displayed at NY International Automobile Show in 1968. Original and unrestored, with 15k miles on the odometer.

Presently I am looking for a waterproof car cover for occasional outdoor use and not finding anything that fits well. I purchased a Sealskin 197" but that's too long. Their next smaller size is 180" - might fit? Any suggestions where to shop?

    Peter

Another Ghibli owner also from FL asked the same question last year. I can tell you who I think has the best outdoor cover material and that's Covercraft. Custom Covercraft 5-Layer Softback All Climate Car Cover
They used to have all of the patterns for the older cars but they've been purchased and homogenized into a leaner operation so they no longer offer them. If you want to get the fabric I bet they would sell that to you and maybe they know where the patterns went? It doesn't hurt to ask them.

Of course, Breshnev never owned those cars (he also had an SM and a Rolls Royce etc). They wer all owned by the people of the Soviet Union. And, indeed, he had a Maserati, a Quattroporte, which was gift from the Italian communist party, apparently : https://tipo107.com/Maserati107/107.300-520/Seiten/494.html

Swedish actress Britt Ekland, James Bond girl in The man with the golden gun and wife of Peter Sellers, had her own Ghibli. She remembered it fondly in recent years:

Karim Aga Khan also had a Ghibli. Unfortunately he can not be seen on this image. The lady is his later wife, the UK-model Sarah Frances Croker-Poole.
