Its hard to say who benifits the most. Ferrari hasn't been in the headlines this much in a long time. I have'nt heard John or Vassuer say he was hired only because of marketing. Vasseur has already worked with Sir Lewis Hamilton. He has true insight on what Sir Lewis Hamilton brings.

So your saying Ferrari won't be racing 2025?

Hypothesis 1 has been practiced by Ferrari before Sir Lewis Hamilton started racing.

People never come in the open about their intentions or motivations, I found.
It's the old cynical that I am who thinks there is more than meet the eyes.
Nothing wrong or illegal in all this, of course, but we are getting further away from what F1 is supposed to be.

I've been watching F1 long enough to know when a money move is priority- Mazpin, Latyfi, Stroll. Not a driver of Sir Lewis Hamilton's caliber and accomplishments.

I just heard last night. Il Commendatore is rolling in his grave. o_O

Badmouthing your own team on national TV alone would have gotten him fired by the Old Man, but the unwanted activism and "curious" fashion statements would have done it also.

Yes, I heard that the Commandatore was rather conservative in his outlook.
As for criticising his cars, it was better not done in his presence apparently.
I blame today's team principals for allowing their drivers' public outbursts.
Problems should be solved in house and not in the open.
    How times have changed !!!

We all need to understand, i think, that Ferrari is not the "racing team" of old. Ferrari has become a "lifestyle brand".

Seen in that light, this move makes perfect sense! Even if it doesn't improve Ferrari's chances of winning another F1 race anytime in the near future.

Yes, thanks for reminding me that I am becoming old and grumpy.

If Ferrari was to become a political party, maybe it would win the elections in Italy ? ;)

Nah. Ferrari is far from perfect. Schumacher disrespected the team and sport buy cheating and ramming into people. Vettel courses out Charlie Whiting in public while with Ferrari. A lot more past disrespectful things from Ferrari and its drivers. From what I seen from Ferrari, Sir Lewis Hamilton is an upgrade.

How do you know ? Hamilton hasn't started driving for Ferrari yet, nor suffered gremlins during a race, had a failed pit-stop yet, or an engine failure with them. It's often a culmunation of setbacks that lead to frustration and for some individuals to express themselves, on the radio, or to the nearest interviewer.
There is an old saying that goes like this "The leopard cannot change its spots".
If Lewis lost his temper in the past at Mercedes in stressful situations, he is likely do the same at Ferrari.

The Old Man would have known this, and would have shot it down. Ford throw mountains of money at Enzo to own him like a little lap dog, but couldn't do it.

...where stressful situations are a-plenty, almost a daily occurence. Will be fun to watch.

(even if I still think that bringing Lewis Hamilton in the team is a wrong solution to a non-existing problem; they still seem to believe, time and again, that the team has to be saved by a driver; playing the old Schumacher scenario from 30-years ago time and again. Whereas they were perfectly fine with their existing driver pairing. They didn't need L.H. Their troubles lay elsewhere...but they seem to be incapable of thinking on a different line than "we need to be rescued by a driver")

    LuLu is still LuLu.

But now he's attached the most famous and valuable name in all of motorsport. The same people who brought you cheesey MIami GP scene are going to LOVE this. Let's get more 80 IQ American "celebrities" to hi-five LuLu on the grid and walk past Martin and wonder who he is, please.

We are definitely in different times currently to what you are comparing to. I understood it then with regards to Ford vs Ferrari and I completely understand it now.

It's like when Enzo said "Aerodynamics are for people who can't build fast engines" when in reality.....well you know the rest.

I say positive things about Ferrari too. Posting negative things doesn't automatically equal trolling. Was all the negative things posted about Hamilton fans lately trolling?

True. My point past drivers for Ferrari already lost their tempers and did things that are worse than I've seen Sir Lewis Hamilton do. There Ferrari's flaws existed before Sir Lewis Hamilton started racing

Because already realized potential is less valuable than yet to be realized potential.

And that's not even considering the extensive collateral damage from LH's posturing.

    F shot themselves.

Enzo would not recognize the team that bears his name. It is no longer about racing, it has turned into a pop entertainment machine. They might as well fire Leclerc and hire Taylor Swift.

Those drivers showing they having nothing to stand for doesn't have anything to do with racing. Sir Hamilton doesn't have to be like past drivers he is different.
Without getting into p&r. Aggressive activist in not a bad word, Many benefited from Aggressive activist
