I was a fan in his early years. I remember first reading about him in Autoweek when he was karting.

Then through the years he slowly lost me with his entitled, prima donna attitude and incessant whining. Then all the grandstanding and political nonsense coupled with constantly blaming everyone for his failures besides himself sealed the deal. God forbid anyone doesn't move over for him lest they be called "dangerous". He is a colossal fake persona IMO and I can't stomach him or his antics. He acts like a pampered, spoiled little rich boy and not a man. The past year was a great reality check for his highness :D

Frankly it's a shame because it overshadows his exceptional skill and accomplishments.

People are being too pessimistic, let's look forward to this and next year and then I believe any acclaim or criticism wud appear more distinct. In my opinion, this is the greatest driver transfer in the history of the sport.

I can understand the blaming others part, I sincerely never saw it as prevalent. As for his politics, there is a forum for that here.

    Kind regards.

Did you not hear any of his radio transmissions this past year? Political forum? Lol, well even MJ was smart enough not to get political. No matter what it's a sure fire way to lose half your fanbase. "Republicans buy sneakers too." :D

You asked so I answered. Not saying I'm right or wrong. Just one fan's opinion.

Well, even though he knows Lewis better than ANYONE at FC, he’s clearly dead wrong about everything he said…

Who’s saying he’s wrong? Not me. The real question we should be asking is the Lewis he’s talking about the same Lewis as today?

I probably shouldn’t ask this as you clearly are a major Hamilton fans but can you objectively say the Lewis we saw last year is the same one he is describing in that video? Or do you really think it was solely the fault of the car?

I can also find the same type of superlative video about Schumacher but there is no denying he was not the same driver in his later years as he was at his peak. Every legend has their moment and then they fall like a shooting star.

This year will be a good indicator of where Lewsi is at in his cycle. If it’s anything like last year or worse stick a fork in him.

I have been saying that about Hamilton for the last 2 years.
Both Hamilton and Mercedes struggled in 2021; they lost the edge and became less competitive.
Hamilton lost his composure and started to make mistakes. (Baku 2021?)
Abu Dhabi was the turning point, that signaled the decline. Since I wish for Hamilton to retire.

You mean the Hamilton that lost the WDC in 2021 because Michael Masi made up a rule on the last lap of the last race of the season, a race Hamilton was leading? THAT Hamilton? Yep, he really lost his "composure" and M-B "lost the edge". Or...maybe Red Bull/Max got better?
It's amazing how a guy can lose the WDC, on the last lap of the last race, on an admitted mistake by the chief steward, and YOU think that in those 3 minutes, Hamilton started to decline. Wow.
I am not reliving or rewriting history. Max is the 2021 WDC. And how that happened will be discussed for DECADES.

It's simplistic to say that Hamilton suddenly lost his championship in the last 2021 GP.
During that season, several indicators pointed to Mercedes and Hamilton losing grip; the fact that the title wasn't decided already before they arrived at Abu Dhabi, for example.
There was a culmination of strategic errors, or botched pit stops where Mercedes usual efficiency was seen to slip. Confronted to a competitive Verstappen, Hamilton commited driving errors, had avoidable racing incidents which were also out of character compared to previous years. Both Mercedes and Hamilton lost their supremacy that season. It's not surprising after so many years.

Not to mention Max's unforced errors-->Baku Max had a tire blowout and was leading...25pts lost.

-->Silverstone Max was leading until Lewis threw Max into the barriers at Copse...25pts lost.

-->Hungary Max lost a possible 3rd place due to Bottas "ramming" his car into several drivers creating a melee of retirements....16pts lost.

So IF it wasn't for these incidents, Max would have been going into Abu Dhabi with a possible 56pts lead.

    That's my 2 cents.

For me Verstappen drove to his best in 2021, but Hamilton (and Mercedes) wasn't up to his usual standard.
That's why in the confusion of the Abu Dhabi result, I considered immediatly that Max deserved the title, regardless.

Or the focus solely on RB's rear wings but crickets with Merc's flexi front.

Or the sudden change of pitstop equipment for RB ''because of safety reasons'' despite RB's pitstop equipment actually making them the safest AND fastest.

Merc was given every helping hand to win the title up until the last lap but suddenly it was all orchestrated from the get go that Max would win the title because the powers that be. What a joke those people that believe that and still drone on about it are.

Where was Max and RB the last few races of the season? Merc/ Hamilton came back to even up the championship. RB/Max was flawless the first have of the season, out performed Hamilton/Merc. Not so much the latter part of the season where Merc/Hamilton looked better. The last race Merc/Haimilton had the upper hand all race perfromed at the highest level. Max had no answer for Sir Lewis Hamilton.

Ferrari and Hamilton are like oil and water from the point of view of many tifosi. This union is a mistake.

It doesn't matter if its oil and water for many tifosi. Many tifosi are not running the team. They can't effect race results. As long as its not oil and water with Vassuer and the Ferrari team, its fine.
