Back in 1975, I owned a Mk1 330GT for around 3 years. I believe that after I sold the car in 1978, it was exported to South Africa and then later to America. I would love to know if the car is still 'alive' and if so, where is it now?
The attached photo was taken in 1975. MY two oldest children are in the photo. They are 55 and 52 now!

If you can find the 4-digit serial number, that will help a lot.

That said, if you post in the vintage section, as @Bryanp suggests, somebody will figure it out.

Thanks for your reply. I've looked for the Vintage Sectiom, but can't find it. Is it a sub section of this forum ?

Hey, why is the older boy on training wheels? You better teach him to ride before looking for fancy Ferraris…..LOL

Unfortunately I have no supporting documents for the car. This photograph is all that I have

    Chassis number is 06009.
Born Grigio Argento 18940 M. Must have been repainted darkblue.
Last seen with Dean K. Batchelor in the UK 1980.
Engine only went to Australia in 2005 and was installed in a 250 GTE.

Thanks, that's fascinating information. I've attached a picture of the car (with the same UK Reg. No) that I found on this forum. The car is painted red, but I don't know if this. was before or after I owned the car. When I owned it, it was painted dark blue, with blue leather interior. It also had the Borrani wire wheels. It's sad to hear that the car appears to have been broken up . But at least its heart still beats in another Ferrari .

Thanks for that Mark, allthough really sad to see my old 330GT in that state. It wasn't mint when I owned it between '75 and '78. In fact, it cost me more in repairs than I paid for it, during the first year of ownership

A bit of information is available in the 330 GT registry -- http://www.330gt.com/Detail/6009.html

There is a lot of new info/pics for #6009 in this thread though.

A significant question to be asked, I think, is what happened to ownership of the serial number? The serial number alone is worth a considerable sum, though ideally it would be paired with some remnant (e.g. frame) of the original car.

It's absolutely amazing to see this information and pictures of the engine from my old 330GT. I'm a bit mystified though as why I am not recorded as an owner (when I owned the car between 1975 and 1978). Also, why is the person I sold it to not listed as an owner?
