Do the 360 challenge headers fit a standard modena? I’m looking to get rid of air rails and precats but not lose the OEM headers sound. I have trevs tune already. Not sure where the oxygen sensor screws in on these? Thanks in advance.

What’s the difference between these and tubi? Do the tubi headers keep the OEM sound?

    they fit modena
you see the 2 bungs on each header? one of them for o2 sensor.
if your challenge header is cheaper, go for it , instead of tubi, since it has nice insulation

Are there multiple variations of the Challenge headers? I just bought a set and they don't look like the photos in the first post. In particular they don't have the 2 plugged ports located mid-runner, and the heat shield is smooth in that area. Mine also have O2 ports, while in other threads some folks say that O2 bungs have to be added. The ones I got were sold as new old stock from what appears to be a reputable Ferrari parts reseller so presumably the O2 ports were there from the factory.

I have the Challenge headers (like the first set pictured in the thread) on my Modena. It has the small bungs, which I’m not sure if they are for thermocouples or what, but they don’t have the O2 bungs. My car has hyperflow cats, which have bungs upstream and downstream of the catalyst. I installed the O2 sensors in the bungs in the cats, not anywhere in the header. I have the trev360 tune and the car runs and sounds excellent. No CELs.

Those headers look like they are from a 1999 360 or from a European 360.

@anotherred360 I am just commenting above, I would use those headers over the US/CAD PreCat ones for sure!

Thanks for chiming in. I'm currently halfway through installing them and realized the single bung on each header does not fit an O2 sensor, so I'll be using the bung on the Kline cat pipes.

I'm still confused about the plugged ports that go to the runners. The part numbers I bought are supposed to be the Challenge ones. I guess there are either slight variations or mine were mislabeled.

Are the Euro headers smoothed over on the heat shield where those 2 ports are on the Challenge headers? Not a big deal as my main goal was having a 4-2-1 collector, but slightly disappointed if these were sold as the Challenge version if they aren't.

Pro-Sport Ferrari has a used Challenge header for sale that has smooth heat shielding without the extra 2 bungs. Maybe there is an early version and a late version?

Yes, based on pictures I have seen on Euro headers.

Headers from Italy :) I asked about them, I don't know how much he wants for them yet. I don't need them but would not be a bad idea to have a spare set :)

Interesting. I am thoroughly confused. Do you know if the Euro headers are the same as the US 99's? I checked an exotics recycler ad for used 99 headers in the US and it has those two plugged ports on the runners. It's not impossible, but I would assume the exotics recycler didn't pull them off a wrecked Challenge race car...

I will try and figure that out, I don't think they are the same though since I don't think Europe requires the Air Injection Rails.
