Funny Ferrari Concours story

Thought this was a pretty good story from Doug at Vinwiki that might be appreciated here.

i entered the F40 at Keels and Wheels last year. it has aspirations to be a great show, and they are making strides in that direction.
but last year, for whatever reason, they decided to jumble up the judges, with the result that the two judges who were assigned to judge 'Mid Engine V8 Ferraris" were experts in older American cars......
so i was preparing for the judges to come over, had all the documents out, and was ready with all the data on the car.....
we shook hands, and they turned to the car and the first one said ' so, whats this? a 308 with a body kit?'
and the second one looked at the roof of the car and said 'wow this thing has orange peel all over the place !"

i closed the car door and walked away.

i came in 2nd place to a 328 - that wouldnt start....

As a judged car show Keels and Wheels is a train wreck. I judged once. Never been back.
