LaFerrari replacement: v12, no hybrid, less power than SF90stradale?

550kg over the front axle or total? Surely they’re targeting over 1,000 kg at 250 km/hr.

 

SF90 XX basically has that at 250 km/hr. So I would expect the F250 to have at least 750kg at 250 km/hr.

 

New spy shot with the active rear wing in place. I'm liking the very thin front fender/wheel wing on this prototype. I hope that carries over to the finished car.

Very possible. For comparison, the 992 GT3 RS is 860 kilograms at 285 km/h with its monster active wing.
On a side note, when i was in Maranello last summer i saw the Ferrari test guys driving a 992 GT3 RS in and out the factory gates. It would be great if the F250 has similar in-cabin electronically-adjustable damper bump and rebound suspension as the 3RS.

Like the Valkyrie,most of the downforce will be provided by the floor and diffusor.
To balance this huge active rear wing with a complex ground effect is a very difficult task.
Can’t wait to see the final product.

 

It's often said that high downforce cars on the road is almost pointless, as the speeds to get the aero to work are so high. I recently got to drive my own 992 GT3 back to back with a 992 GT RS, and even at relatively sane speeds on the road (Scottish Highland roads) i could feel the big aero of 3RS working. The 3RS felt a lot more stable and locked down, the confidence i had to carry momentum was amazing.
Also to my surprise, for what appears to be a very hardcore track car for the road, i was able to dial in the suspension on the 3RS to be smoother and deal with the endless bumps better than in my GT3. I hope Ferrari go down these same paths with the F250.

 

The Senna makes 800 kg at 250 kph so I'd be shocked if the F250 doesn't at least match that.

 

I don't think that Ferrari is interested in maximum downforce, but rather aero efficiency (the correlation between downforce and drag), as that matters most when it comes to lap times, around most tracks.

 

It's more a case of downforce when required. The active wing is massive and vents at the front at larger so they clear want alot more on tap when needed than they have had before

 

That’s why they’re using active aero. Wouldn’t they want to have the most downforce possible when the aero devices are in full attack mode? The wings/flaps/channels can be trimmed once out of the corner until the next braking zone.

the exciting thing imo is this car will actually function properly, the amg one is a complete joke and doesn't work, the valk is okay now but only after a huge amount of time but owners are too scared to track them

 

Seems like the rear wing will have a different shape compared with the precedent mule..

 

I think it will be worked into the body but the shape will be a lot like the mute wing

 

Looks like a single light bar like the SP3

Looking back at a lot the prototype spy shots, I’m starting to think there may be an aero “fin” of some sorts down the whole length of the back of the F250, and also light bar and diffuser , both similar to the 499P….
