Wow it looks so different, very kit car like.

I’d hazard a guess that it’s been put back to standard now…………..hopefully?

There was no sense of preservation or proper keeping, there was no code of ethics, it was also the era of resale red...

Oh and it looks like it is leaking.

By 1994 it reached USA, I think Symbolic restored it for Hong Kong owner Michael Mak. In 2008 it was Giallo and for auction at Gooding Arizona, sold for $1.15m

In between Donington 1981 and 1994 it went to The Netherlands and then to Canada.
RM failed to sell it 3/2005 in Amelia. Thereafter restored in Canada by Legendary Motorcars. Gooding Scottsdale sold it 19 January 2008.
09657 was last seen in Minnesota.

I bet if it were modifications done by the factory it would be hailed as a true gem worth much more than a standard version.

Congratulation sir! Are you from UK? Just want to know whether this car will be in UK in the future.

This is 10835 at Wigram AFB in NZ (just a quick scan). Imported into NZ in 1969 by Sir Robertson Stewart. I believe the car to be white originally (Marcel?) and it has also been red, dark blue and Grigio Fumo (still?)

Thanks Marcel - I notice your caption says Australia. These photos are from Wigram AFB in Christchurch, NZ during one of the Wings and Wheels events (probably 1986)

    Thank you.
When Kerry Manolas bought it in 1988 he had it repainted red.
After David Lucas in Nelson, NZ, Adrian Hamilton sold it to Bob Suggett in the UK who had it repainted dark blue. Then came Eric Clapton, then via Mark Donaldson to Nigel Allen who had it redone in Grigio Mahmoud by Spraytec. In 2019 it went to the next owner, a finance exec on the London stock exchange who also owns a second 275 GTB/4.

curt66: They were making a race car lighter, not prettier. Race cars are tools, to be thrown away when they are no longer useful.

Anyone know the people in this picture? Specifically the man in the foreground in the light blue suit? It looks like Jon Anderson, an American who spent many vacations in NZ. His nickname was Andriod, a very accomplished amateur race driver from Northern California.

Rear view of the same car. Very early 275 GTB which has always been in Switzerland.
