I guess someone has to. Brisbane used to be great (most of my family on my fathers side are there so I’ve spent a lot of time there). Now? Pfffffft. Almost as bad as Melbourne.
80ks to the Gold Coast, a 100 to the Sunshine Coast. Nothing more needs to be said. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Well, derrrrrr…. There are dozens of beautiful beaches not only in suburban Adelaide but within 50-100km of Adelaide. My brother lives at Carrickalinga - stunning. And about an hour from the CBD. We bought the shack where we did for the precise reason that it is away from everywhere and everyone else. It’s isolated and has genuine character in an old fashioned Aussie way. The nearest town is 40 minutes away. The drive there is a big part of the fun for a proper enthusiast. (That said, we’ll be flying there soon enough). Who wants to be amongst millions of lizard skin (TM. Ashpan) locals and tourists fighting for a rubbish surf club meal at their supposed holiday house, where they go to get away from it all? **** that.
Olio, 18.7 vs 28.8. Yep, pretty close. You’ve been going to the Ashpan school of statistics. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Where’d you get 28.8 from? Or is that with the wee included? And obviously you don’t know where our shack is. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sunshine Coast has its charm, Gold Coast... sorry, I have to agree with Steve about parts of Adelaide, Port Willunga Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to, about an hour out of Adelaide, not only is it in Mclaren Vale wine region, great vineyards & seriously good food, whether they be simple pizza like at Russell's Pizza or hatted restaurants like Salopian Inn, wine regions always attract good food & booze. We've been there many times for family holidays, never over crowded & without the tourist masses that Queensland attracts, highly recommended. Some of my own happy snaps a few years ago.
