I swapped out my HVAC panel myself since half of the panel was not lighting up. The HVAC panel works fine, however, since the swap, I've gotten the 'System Not Programmed' error. I've tried driving the car, turning it on and off and also disconnecting the battery with no luck

Is there a way I can clear this message? I did see this old thread where the member resolved it by swapping old electronics back, however, that is not an option for me due to the broken lights on the old panel https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/system-not-programmed-error-after-putting-in-redone-sticky-hvac-panel.684666/

Check with your local independent. Many of them can program these items.

Why would a hvac panel have to be programmed? Makes no sense.

Likely it has to be identified. Old unit had a unique serial #. New one doesn’t match. Keeps customers from repairing own problems. Now you must go to dealer to get a reconfiguration file download. $$.

I believe you. Its just so stupid that they make things so complicated that you can't just swap parts without a reprogram.
