Not knowing what's under the wrap is odd way to sell plus mods even with low miles add broker. Too many unknowns - would have been bidding otherwise. I remember a Carrera GT sold with a wrap went 250k under market - guy took off wrap and there was a lot of paint work defects.
I mean, that’s still a tremendous deal. You could respray a CGT 5x over for $250k by the best in the world. Maybe even by Porsche themselves.
You know CGT is carbon under the paint - right? A good CGT if you look down the side you can see the weave in the paint. Porsche and no top shop will sand prep repair carbon for 50k - maybe 200k as once it's there they would only take it on for a full rebuild almost as much as the car costs. Anyway - selling a car that is wrapped imo is a bad idea and at this price a really bad idea.
The car was Nero black underneath the wrap. I think this was a super buy. Had I not been out of town without the internet service, would have been a buyer at this level Should have had 9 months warranty left to fix anything. PS Is there a pre-sale source to check whether that VIN may have had issues?
It can happen on one spirited run - following too close / catching debris will damage the bumper hood and windshield mirrors etc. I've seen it happen a lot - no different than on track and on a road where people are crossing lines it happens all the time. Something is off - dealers would have paid that price.
Duck tape over light front end damage might have been a better fix than an odd color body wrap....LMAO
WTF happened to the SF90 market ??? I looked at a PISTA was looking to trade in my SF 90 with a MRSP of $ 594k (also bought at MSRP) = Rosa Corsa, race seats black int,, lift, jbl.... cabon and 3,100 ish miles..... so far 2 dealers, ... $ 450k ferrari dealer and another dealer $ 480k... wholly crap. Only had the car since Sept 2023. thoughts on the market.....
What leads you to that conclusion? To me, there are more on the market than a year ago (USA market over 125 now vs 90), prices are headed down including the Spider (20%+ off its peak pricing), it is out of production, unclear when/what its replacement will be. Just had a major recall (plus do not drive order) affecting the entire production. It was the first time Ferrari pushed hard on the base price (i.e. set very high) and then probably built twice as many coupes as they should of (to help retain future re-sale values closer to MSRP). Follow-on replacement of hybrid battery/electric motors/inverter expenses will need to be reconciled in the not too distant future of the earlier cars and factored into cost of ownership. And then more will come off factory 3-year warranty... And the SF90 XX is now in production and is much more desirable, it will be the one that will more likely retain its value long term...and as those deliveries commence it is quite likely even more SF90 coupes will be traded in and thus enter the re-sale market further pushing down prices... So, if you want an SF90 I would think wait a year or so (for an even lower price with a great selection)
Usually an "M" version appears before production ends...the SF90 XX is, to me, the "M" version, a significant one at that, and, I would not be surprised if there is no further V8+turbo+hybrid standard model (EU regulations interference) (just an Icona model or two) and the V6 becomes the standard bearer...after all, having 2 contemporaneous rear-mid-engine standard models (SF90/296) is unusual in their history, a special time but maybe one that is over...
Because it's an amazing car, and more people will start recognizing that fact as time goes on, And they didn't make very many of them. SF90XX? Not even comparable. It's an extremely limited, "special-edition" car. Of course, it will retain its value better. But that doesn't man SF90 prices won't settle at a solid number in a year or two.
The SF90 market is not going to "bounce back" This is the SF90 market for the foreseeable future, and maybe longer.
Nah. You're just expressing what you hope will happen as a Pista owner who doesn't like the far better performing SF90 (which is why you continually post in this thread). The SF90 market was way too high in the beginning, is now getting a much-needed correction, but will settle in a good place.
XX is 1M or more out the door bringing SF90 to rise and nothing new coming for years. Owners of F8 Pista trade up for SF90 and next gen SF90 will require SF90 in garage. Was told next gen 812 may be limited due to V12 window or at least first ones go to current 812 owners.Ferrari is dead set on rewarding owners who keep their cars. I wouldn't bet against Ferrari - stock price proves they know their customers better than their customers know themselves. With Purosangue production expect the sports cars to become harder to get. Sort of like Porsche GT3RS but no ADM
Never conflate a brand’s stock price with the price (or resale price) of the brand’s care. Case in point is PAG, which you’ve brought up. Resale and ADMs for Porsche GT cars are frothy, but PAG stock is anything but and trails its competitors in the same segment (like RACE)
