If the car is halfway decent I think we are in for a show. Sainz will be out to prove to everyone he is valuable so he’ll be driving his guts out. Charles is also looking to make a statement to the team pre Lewis that he is their #1 and the best way to do that is to win the 2024 WDC

With Sainz out at the end of this season, I expect Leclerc to be on the receiving end of Ferrari’s full support and outscore him handily.

Not if Sainz can clear his head, take it u a notch and leave with a strong statement. One of Sainz main strength is his long game thinking.

    Alonso would vote ‘NO’ :p

Alonso: Ferrari F1 drive wasn’t Hamilton’s “childhood dream” last year

How does Alonso know what his childhood dream was? Alonso was not close to him until he entered F1. By then Sir Lewis Hamilton was 22.

Pironi pretty much sucked in ‘81 while Villeneuve did miracles and won twice.

I guess he changes his childhood memories to suit whoever is willing to lay out the cash for him—good for him; pretty dumb of Ferrari.

All I know is that his childhood hero was a scumbag that never drove a Ferrari and instead tried to murder a Ferrari driver at the start of a race… at the front on a grid-full of cars loaded with max fuel.

Sounds like you are guessing about his childhood like Alonso.

Pierre Wache, RedBull Technical Director and close confidant to Adrian Newey, will PROBABLY go to Ferrari in 2025 to aid the Scuderia and Hamilton.

I think Lewis has consistently stated that his favourite driver was Senna. I don't think it is disputed that Senna wanted to drive for Ferrari at some point. We know discussions took place. It's likely that Ferrari would have gone for him instead of Schumacher if not for Imola '94.
I also think it's been obvious for some time that Alonso is not a Lewis fan. probably from when they were team-mates in 07 and it became clear that the new kid was not going to give way to the 'number 1'.

I heard the same thing this morning but from a different source. People from other teams are hearing scuttle that it's all over for Red Bull 2025 and forward.

 Ah, OK, so I’m imaging this, the hundreds of articles that start with “his hero was Senna”, and the fact he painted his helmet in Senna colors…

Unlike you, what I don’t imagine is that he’s the GOAT only because of his run of fortuitous wins and WDCs in the most dominant car/engine era in the history of F1 despite being beaten by a teammate ;)… just like his hero but unlike, say, Schumacher.

Show us where he said his childhood dream was to drive for Ferrari… instead of driving for them to close out his career and cash out on his popularity with people like you.

Because Lewis has said on camera many many times and has said in interviews many many times, his childhood dream was to be a McLaren driver ( like Senna). Alonso is just calling Lewis up on more off his BS.

It's just like when Lewis made a transphobic video, posted it for the world to see on his Instagram in which he was shaming and degrading his own very young nephew for wearing a princess dress. But Lewis now wants everyone to wear rainbows and get on their knee for him! The lad is full of BS....

I aint gotta show you nothing because I didn't claim he said that. I don't know what his dreams was other than driving for Mclaren. I wasn't in his life then. But you claim he never dreamed of driving for Ferrari. And I ask you to show me where he said that.

This again? How about you show us where he said it ( before he started to want to make the big money move in his head recently)?

I never said he said it. Why should I show you something that I don't he know said? I didn't know him. I don't know what his dreams were. You and Alonso said driving for Ferrari was never his dream. I ask for proof of your claims.

The FACT his childhood dream was always to drive for Mclaren is all we need. If you knew about F1, especially in the late 90s/ 2000s when Lewis was young you would know that Ferrari and Mclaren were bitter enemies! Their rivalry was more fierce and more political than anything we see these days between say RBR and Merc, and this rivalry was reflected in the fans.

For a Mclaren fan , and lets not forget someone that was also being funded by Mclaren to be thinking "my Dream is Ferrari" at that time either shows how disloyal Lewis is by nature, or he was just lying publicly about Mclaren being his dream.

If Charles Leclerc leaves Ferrari and joins Mclaren and then starts saying it was always his childhood dream to be a Mclaren driver, everyone would be calling him out on his BS... This is exactly what Lewis is doing now and it is BS ! Everyone can see it accept you it seems. Even people that KNOW him well, which you don't and are not afraid to speak out like Alonso is are calling out his BS.

No doubt you are going to reply again with "Show me where he said he never wanted to drive for Ferrari" and think you are "winning".
