    I need your help.

    Is it possible to move a 458, without starting the engine?
    Sometimes I need to move the car, in my garage, to remove others or access objects behind it, and this forces me to start the car for just a few seconds. I think this doesn't give the engine much health.
    Thank you for your answer

    I vaguely recall there's a tool you can use to put the transmission in neutral, but I don't know how easy it is to use.

    You could habitually leave the car in neutral and just set the park brake. Then you can release the park brake without starting engine.

    I thought the parking brake and transmission went to park as soon as you pull the key? If the owner's manual says otherwise it wouldn't be the first time I misunderstood it...

    According to the version of the owners manual I have, it's the case. You should be able to release the parking brake and to get from "P" to neutral you need to use what they call "car wash procedure":
    To perform the Carwash procedure, do the following:
    - with the engine running, select the first gear;
    - select neutral “N”;
    - switch off the engine;
    - turn the key to position II (key-on) within 3 seconds of switching
    off.
    The message “Carwash mode activation” will appear on the left
    TFT display.

    I just realize it may not really help, because to get to this mode you need to start with a running engine...

    Automotive wheel dollies work great.

    Set "car wash" mode and use wheel chocks. Simple.

    Yes that’s if you can’t turn it on and shift to neutral I tried once when it died and it was impossible. Ended up using the wheel dollies as Eric c suggested

    I’m thinking every time you need to move it take it for a spirited drive! Better for the engine then sitting all the time and also better for your health!!!!

    If car wash mode persists after removing the key and locking the car that would be great but I didn't think that was true?
