After stripping the paint, then soaking in degreaser, then flushing... then soaking more in evaporust... THEN soaking in acid I cleaned out my air/oil separator.

Hit it with some self etching primer, then high temp ceramic engine paint... good as new.

The insulation between the engine compartment and the luggage case has just been replaced. If the engine is not removed, it is quite a job. You need to loosen the expansion tank, oil cooler, K Jettronic head and air filter and move them by a few centimeters. You have to remove 2 supports of the aluminum protective plate above the exhaust and even then it is quite a job to properly install the insulation.

 

I’m sure it looks fantastic….. but… pictures or it never happened….

 

Fantastic, not real and not too much to see At the same time, a small problem was discovered on the expansion vessel. Small leak the size of a mm = to be done next week waiting for metal. epoxy. Drove about 50 km yesterday and the leak caused no problems. But do it anyway before bigger problems arise

Removed the exhaust cover. Previous owner must have backed over a curb or something?

Anyway... hammer and dollied it out and then hit it with a skim coat of filler.

Addressed a few other little dings here and there and all is right in the world.

I just acquired my 328GTS before Christmas last year . The parts both used and new just arrived in our country on the first day of Feb . So far my mechanic and my metal fabricator / painter had installed the following items .
Passenger side outside window scraper which I got used from eBay
Windshield washer tank replaced since the car came w/ the wrong tank ( it’s for a 308 GTS )
Used temporary space saver spare tire w/c cost an arm & a leg together w/ the tire hold down but which was bought from Ricambi
Fuel Filler Bib which I got to install by my self
Vinyl rear trunk storage cover w/ zipper also installed since the original was already torn and the zipper was broken
Ansa exhaust stickers installed at the muffler tips
Driver side and passenger side floor carpets w/ paddings bought from Re Originals
New Coolant expansion Tank ordered from Ferrparts
Mobil 1 gear oil change done . Radiator Coolant , Brake flushing and Oil Change done recently by the previous owner
Steering rack bushing passenger side was replaced and new steering rack bellow/ protective cover replaced .
Oil pressure gauge oil sending unit replaced.
Still have to reupholster the door side panels , and driver and passenger side seats probably work will start on Feb 19 .
Then finally fix the non working passenger side power windows and door mirrors

Its been out for a few weeks but the weather was terrible. First really nice day since.

 

Installed a brand new radiator expansion tank w/ the proper decal . Also installed a new emission decal .

Where did you get the tank decal? I have one I got from Superformance but it doesn't look much like the original.

 

Finished the front heater hose spaghetti MESS with all new hoses and newly plated hardware and pipes. I know now why they call Italian cars "spaghetti cars." I always thought it was because they were from Italy... I think if they all do their heater hoses like this then that must be where it came from.

Also finished all of the plumbing for the new AC. If you're thinking about this job don't pay the extra to Classic Auto Air they are absolutely NO help and their "kit" is hardly a "kit." Were I to do it again I'd piece together my own from the helpful threads here... I still have to do the compressor... not looking forward to it since I'm quite sure their "instructions" will be entirely inadequate.

Got it from Italian Car Parts . They have a lot of decals for sale for our cars but a little pricey if your based Overseas like me Im from the Philippines ,
$ 1 USD is equivalent to ₱ 57 pesos

 

Today I dreamed about my car. Just can't wait springtime to get her out.

Finished the install of my driver passenger tank after refurbing everything... I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the designers of the tank for the amazingly generous hose clearance for both the filler and other hoses..... COUGH... or not? Never have I seen such a short "hose" to connect a filler neck and tank in my life... much cursing was involved on this one.
