So my original Fabspeed Raceline exhaust had melted part of the rearmost driver's side inner fender liner. In March 2020 I ordered a used one online and apparently Ferrari changed the part design without changing the part number around Scud time so the used one didn't match my 2009 F430. The only one I could see come up that had a picture that matched was a full fender liner set from a 2009 Scud that was $800 that was sitting teasing me.

I tried ordering it from Ferrari of Philadelphia when they were still Algar, and after over a year of waiting gave up I would ever find one. Back in December, I saw it available as new from Ferrparts as I periodically search the usual suspects for a list of part numbers I would like to get.

Well, I ordered it, and Ferrparts about a month later canceled my order saying they couldn't get it. So my brain conveniently forgot about the order so I wouldn't be disappointed.

Surprise, it showed up from Ferrparts about 2 weeks later on eBay and it triggered an email alert. I clicked "buy it now" faster than you could imagine and the other day the part showed up. YEA!!!!

Interestingly I also got my credit card statement and noticed what I thought was a charge from Ferrparts. I called them up and they told me it was my refund for the part I ordered in December. I mentioned I just bought it from them on eBay. It was a little more than my original order but I was happy. Ferrparts told me that they were told it wasn't coming and canceled my order and then surprise for them it showed up.

In the end, I'm happy and just installed the replacement.

The MY08 liners are lighter but not as durable as the earlier ones. Same goes for the engine lid release lever.

What do you plan to do to prevent the same happening to the new part?

I switched my exhaust to a Kline with valves which is completely different and no where near the fender liner.
