Nice. I was supposed to be in Manama then plans changed this week. We are so close to the season now!!
let the aero trickery testing begin. You can bet Red Bull will have this nose cover at the front wing removed at some time during testing. Red Bull didn't just decide to stop having their front wing only join up with the second element leaving the first element floating. No, Red Bull have something even better up their sleeve. That all said, Mercedes Y250 generating front wing is a tricky piece of kit that is not at all easily copied as it requires significant changes behind the wing to take full advantage. This may be an interesting season. Image Unavailable, Please Login

No the question is when does Spice-Wife file for her half of the estate now that it appears Horner was anything but honest in stating he denies all claims and attempted a pay off lol. IF she does file he will be utterly distracted Brit Tabloid income will be increasing lol!
Word now is Red Bull have a zero pod solution coming. I think they might be flying too close to the sun with this one. Mercedes found that per CFD the zero pod solution is far and away more efficient but the real world dynamic issues simply showed it did not work. The issue being the suspension and ride height control. Red Bull will not be immune to this unless they’ve devised some hybrid concept of the two solutions. As in, not quite zero pods but definitely some nods to that design.
And if this is all we know about the new cars, the teams don't really know much more. Might be fun if, for the first three races, all the drivers pick car numbers out of a hat, and that is the car they drive for the weekend. That way everyone gets stuck with a dog...just won't know whose dog they're getting until Friday rolls around.

Will be interesting to see but RedBull were not brave enough to try it earlier unlike Mercedes. We have so little true innovation now given the cost cap. If testing is bad you are left counting money hoping to upgrade and be competitive but not for a title possibly.
Found this to be an interesting view of testing starting this week and what factors are at play etc. https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/13069959/f1-pre-season-testing-bernie-collins-delves-into-what-will-happen-at-bahrain-international-circuit-this-week F1 pre-season testing: Bernie Collins delves into what will happen at Bahrain International Circuit this week --The session times in Bahrain means the final two hours will be held at night, in line with the qualifying and race start times for the Grand Prix, so the most representative running will happen then.--
