Hello 360 enthusiasts, After a year of searching for my first Ferrari, I am finally purchasing a 2000 Modena. I expect the car will arrive in about 1-2 weeks. I have located an independent Ferrari shop in my area to handle the service. This 360 has 50K miles, some service records, has been driven sparingly over the past 6 years. The tires are old, so new rubber will be necessary. Any recommendation on tires? I live in a moderate climate (North Carolina) and expect to do spirited street driving. Also would like to please have suggestions regarding oil brands and viscosity, and other fluids, Hill Engineering parts and any other recommendations as I begin this new experience. Welcome to the club! If I can recommend tyres, go Michelin Sport Pilots. I changed from Bridgestones and they're much gripper!
For tires, Pilot Sport Cup 4S, engine oil Mobil 1 5w-40, gearbox oil Mobil 1 75w-90. For the power steering fluid and F1 fluid, check with flash32, I forgot what he told me to use. If you’re mechanically inclined, learn to do all the servicing yourself. You’ll save a ton of money and know that it’s done right. You Tube for instructional videos and MyRicambi for parts. Congrats! I bought a 50k mile 360 a little over a year ago, i've added 4k miles to it and loved every mile of it. They're surprisingly easy cars to work on mechanically wise - depending on your confidence level i guess. As others have said, 4s's are good, i plan to go with A052's this spring as my tires too, are aging.

My preferences and just that - and you will get alot of different answers Oil - Mobil 1 0w-40 euro formula Gear oil Ravenol VSG 75w-90 F1 - Castrol DEX III for older cars - you can use Mobil 1 SYNC DEX III as well but i know at one point the seals were not that great in the 360 and MObil 1 is a bit harder on them Power steering - Castrol DEX III for older cars Coolant - G48 - Zerex Tires - MPS4s I would flush the f1 system and check timings immediately I would consider getting a upgraded TCU , if nothing else so you can use a inexpensive diag tool ( unless your mechanic has a Leo or SD tool) Brake fluid - ATE 200 if you are not planning to go on race track Check all your mounts ( engine and trans) Check play in wheels
Probably coolant flush has not been done every year. May I give you two suggestions no maintenance related? Maybe a little out of context, but I think useful. 1) Examine if the heat exchanger liquid/transfluid has been done and there is no tranny oil in coolant and no coolant in tranny oil and 2) never try do a retro uphill if you want to protect your clutch. 3) control if your cam variators had been changed during Ferrari recall campaign (2000 car) and starter ring addressed
