EAG, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

That whistling sound you hear is EAG manual conversions dropping in price. I got no dog in this fight, good luck everyone.

 

The amount of threads and comments about how horrible this company and Art are and yet people still defend them is astounding. I can only assume that they are friends of Art or he himself.

I say this as someone who had him convert a car and had a comically abysmal experience getting my car back.

The best one was that he made the excuse my car wasn’t done because the shift gates weren’t done, to which I said I would have one made (friend has a 30,000 sq ft machine shop) if he would send him the scan of the gate. He refused and claimed the scan was proprietary. Yes, you heard that right. A copy of a Ferrari part he claimed belonged to him. I then said I’d get a scan of an oem part from a friend and have it made. To which he said he would not warranty anything on the car if I did that. Instead, I pulled a rabbit out of my hat and came up with an oem gate and said I would overnight it and pick up the car (as he claimed that’s all that was left). He then panicked and wouldn’t take my calls for a week. Then, my car was completed and the gates showed up. Once I got the car I noticed several parts that were supposed to be aftermarket (I got the aftermarket kit and he gave a list of what was oem vs aftermarket) were OEM. My guess he panicked, robbed parts from another project to finish mine as it was the squeakiest wheel.

The job was supposed to take a month to 6 weeks, it took about a year and have heard from several who had cars there for 2+ years.

 

I mean…the writing has been on the walls for years about Art’s business ethics (or lack there of)

I smashed down on him hard in a what's App Ferrari form about his claims. I even threw 30k on the table for him to prove himself. He declined and ran away. The man I will agree tells some very tall tales.

 

If doing a manual conversion results in your car being in a million peices, there is something not right.

 

K..6 weeks to convert? Wtf is he doing? Its honestly about a 2 day job if you don't pull the gearbox. 3 if you do.
Apparently there is a Lambo S.V. sitting there waiting to be converted. That car was slated to head up to me to convert simply because the car has been sitting there for almost a year and nothing done. Owner said he was going to pull the car, they promised to have it completed. Car stayed. Will be an interesting couple of weeks.

 

Damn. It's a shame you won't back that up with a single shred of actual, tangible evidence. Literally, nothing.

Wait... weren't those charges completely dismissed, because it was a misunderstanding over a rental Aston and who had the title? I swear this was all unpacked years ago on these pages.

Please don't stop, somebody has to have evidence of a crime, it can't all be whiners and haters.

Nice, appreciate that. Five years ago, nothing to do with any of this and weren't all those charges dropped, too? You showed up with at least something, more than anyone else.

 

Bill, if I am lying he can sue me, he already has my lawyers information. Do you still have my phone number? Give me a call if you want. I am happy to share my side of the lengthy story with you. I suspect a lot more information is going to be coming out over the next days/weeks.

 

Does this work for you Bill? He literally was on felony probation for theft until recently. Bill...ask Art to send you a picture of his drivers license. Not ID, drivers license. Last I heard (directly from Art) he didn't have one. Art is very manipulative.

I hear ya, and I appreciate the offer to talk but...not having a driver's license is the smoking gun? Really? So, these prior issues were meaningful and concerning, yet after due diligence, the investors still invested? Criminal and credit records are rudimentary steps in any background check. So... the new investor clearly concluded this was not enough to stop the deal. Not liking a guy doesn't mean he committed fraud at EAG, nor does it justify the shop heist. Hard to know since team Bad Apple hasn't confirmed anything about Art's alleged crimes. All they've confirmed is that yes indeed they are going behind his back, they did empty the shop and they are starting a new business. Mind bending they admit all of it, in writing, hard to believe actually... They must be holding some juicy, tangible, actual evidence. Allegedly.

 

Do I really need to explain why its important to have a drivers license when you drive other peoples Ferrari daily? And no, that's clearly not a smoking gun. That is a weird analysis of my statement. It is another example of irresponsible behavior. Honestly Bill, I am surprised that you are instantly assuming the other side is the bad apple. With your level of experience I would think you would wait and hear what the other side has to say. You are also more than experienced enough to know that legal stuff moves slow. Just to be clear, I don't know if any legal proceedings exist and don't care to.

Investors breaking in and stealing all of the inventory for no reason and then admitting it in writing? That sounds real to you? You said it yourself, it is mind bending to admit it. I don't know exactly what happened but I bet he defaulted on a loan, or got caught embezzling or both. The last thing I did before he fired me was deal with him using an employees email to request money to pay off his personal car. That is true, I have no problems with saying it publicly and confidently. If I am lying he can sue me for defamation. He wont because its true.

He will have excuses for all of this, he is very manipulative.

From what i understand EAG turned into a big biz, Art is a mechanic not a customers relations sort of person but in the end he delivers (from what i've seen on BAT and other people who had their conversions done) and the conversions work..so he gets investors to help him expand the biz, and become more professional and they then go in and steal everything he's created? I don't get it, ethically and morally if this is what happened it is WRONG wether you like the guy personally or not.

I've never met Art or talked to him personally .. but i understand "passion" and he was certainly passionate about his work and making conversions into the "Norm" for other parties to just take all that from him and upend the business seems hateful & wicked.

 

If that is what happened then that would be wrong of them. I highly doubt this is what happened.

 

So this posts sounds like the employees took everything and left because they thought they were "owed". Does this include you Chris? You were the guy who was brought in to clean things up right?

The rumors are they/you took all the stock with them?

This should be a good show if anybody ever sorts it all out.

Correct, I was brought on to clean things up and help with expansion. I feel I did a great job at EAG considering I had to navigate Art's manipulation, and constant lies. Not to mention the huge pile of pissed off customers that were threatening to sue. Do a little digging on Fchat and you will find hints of what legal issues I had to resolve. I don't remember the exact number of furious customers I had to help, it was at least two dozen. I bet we all hear more of the story over the next few days or weeks.

BTW... still no C&D from Art over my comments.

 

Bill, you if you are helping him with PR you are steering him into a brick wall at high speed. Before you waste anymore of your time, ask Art for a copy of the police report. I am sure his excuses will be hilarious and weak. If he honestly believes he was robbed he should have filed a police report. This is simple. Any luck with his Drivers License? What was his excuse about that one? Call me....
