Yes that’s right - a Rossi Corsa. This is my first Ferrari build so wanted to play safe rather than go with exotic colors.
That’s great. It would be lovely to get reviews and feedback from actual owners rather than “experts”.
I currently own the Roma coupe ordered to my specs and think it's advanced, thrilling to drive, and most comfortable in the lineup especially for a 6ft 2" frame.
curious what others are thinking about exterior carbon for the Roma Spider (rear diffuser, front spoiler, underdoor cover). I go back and forth. on the one hand, it isn't a race car, but a more elegant throw back, so I think about leaving it off . on the other, I love the look of carbon, so want it on. guess this would apply to the Roma Coupe as well. thoughts?
I started skeptical of exterior carbon on the Roma Spider. I thought it would detract from an elegant GT look. Also, $33K is a lot. Then I saw the car in person and instantly changed my mind. Exterior carbon adds beautiful new reflections that complement the reflections off the Roma's curved painted body.
I think that if you use the clear bra protection film on the black side sills and front lip, it will resemble a gloss black paint finish. Saw it at the Ferrari dealership on a couple cars and looks amazing, not to mention the cost is a few hundred dollars versus $33k!
After seeing the first few Roma examples in person at the dealership without the CF, and in used demo conditions, I knew I had to change my spec to include it. If no protection is added to the black exterior trims like Joe M mentioned, the scuff marks and the like will detract from the looks and appear cheap plastic like. The CF is a totally different look that in my opinion adds to the elegance and increases the sportiness appearance of the Roma.
I just confirmed the spec for my Spider. I was informed that there is a new option just launched where the grey plastic lower panels can be supplied painted gloss black or a grey colour (Silverstone?). I went with the gloss black - a no charge option. I couldn’t justify the price of the carbon items, although they do look great.
These are the renders for my Spider, due for July build. I’ve gone with Azzuro California paint and a Charcoal/Grigio Chiaro interior with burgundy inserts. So much for not going over the top with the options! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Beautiful build! I assume since you confirmed spec you have seen options pricing? I haven't seen it posted anywhere.
I was recently told that option in the US is $15k and not a standard option. This was by the Taylor Made Group in NY. What country are you in?
Yes, I have seen multiple quotations for different builds, so I know what many of the option prices are. I have not seen a price list, as such. This seems to be a closely guarded secret!
I’m in the UK. I’ll include a picture of the build from the dealer’s configuration brochure. This shows an option called “PPE1”, described as Nero (black) painted exterior painted parts pack. This option was not included on the order form, but then so were other no-cost options, such as the blue soft top. I queried this with my dealer who confirmed that no-cost options are not shown on the order form and that the PPE1 option is no charge. I will double check this point as this is a brand new option and I was surprised that this was no-charge. As an aside, I signed the order form last Friday but only just spotted that LED matrix headlamps had been missed off the build. So I’m hoping that we can still include this option even though the order has now gone back to Ferrari. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don't think it's a no cost option for gloss black as I was told it runs $15k plus, at least in the US market.
I was told $15k for the painted bits as well. In US market. Would love for it to be no cost as my build should lock in next few months. Also, I have the .xlsx options pricing file as of last summer. Will post tomorrow when back on computer.
Here is the options pricing file. This was as of last summer (2023). Apologies for delay posting after last message, was busy with work/travel the last few days.
Do they take pictures of the actual car in production for Romas, or is it like Californias where the first pic is a stock photo and not of the actual car?
This is my first time experience with a new build. But it is my understanding that all 3 photos are of your actual car, and not a stock photo.
Ok, that's what they have been saying. My Cali T "1st picture" is of a car with factory shields. I don't have factory shields, so it can't be my car. I know a few others with the same discrepancy. I sort of thought it's of a similar, but not the same, car. Maybe taken the day of production or something like that.
