    would the factory rebuild that chassis or scrap it and restamp the same number on a new chassis?

    I believe the year is 1998 not 1997.
    Until 1997 it was with Steve Pilkington and painted yellow, in February 1998 Frank Sytner bought it and had it repainted metallic silvergrey. On your (yes, I know black-white!) pix it looks more metallic silvergrey than yellow, but what do I know? Sytner showed it during the Coys meet at Silverstone July 1998.
