I see Horner as the man who runs the team smoothly on a day-to-day basis, and a good motivator. Marko likes to run by fear, he is too blunt and direct to be a good manager, IMO. Good cop, bad cop, I would say.
I had to look it up. Not being familiar with ball games, I didn't know who Phil Jackson was ! Yes, he had a fruitful career too, by the look of it.
Horner is an employee of RedBull Racing Marko is an employee of RedBull Corporate - who monitors and advises Corporate about the team, and by default passes 'guidance' to Horner as directed by RedBull Corporate.
I was referring to the operational aspects of this team. Horner built this team from scratch and deserved huge credits for this. Marko is like a « consigliere » if you like the Godfather’s reference. If they fired Horner they underestimated the dynamics he slowly created during the years with key members like Newey or Waché. Again remember the dominicali syndrome after Todt’s departure.
should be fairly easy to see which female employee doesnt rock up this weekend ? allegedly on medical sick leave ....paddock already knows of course.
Marko, by virtue of his position is indeed involved in most if not all operational aspects given what the board/Corporate might want to know. Horner is most likely not happy to have to deal with that. There is friction there within the team over Horner's view of Marko. Marko was just extended in contract by the Corporate entity. Do the math...............
The Thai family own 51% of RedBull and they love Horner and back him up 100%. Also, Thailand Men view women "differently" in that part of the world as opposed to other modernized developed western civilizations because that is their culture.....like it or not.
Marko is involved with drivers and their development across the 2 F1 teams, and F2, etc ... inside the organisation. He was also the eyes and ears of Dieter Mateschitz and reported to him. I suppose he still do the same with the new Red Bull GmbH management.
You could be right. He and his wife have been lobbying for one for years. He must have thought that Max's championships might finally get him the recognition he wanted. His wife won't be happy!
I think he'll bounce back from this. if his overlords want him gone they'll find another way. probably sleeping on the couch for a while though
-- ---A statement issued by the Red Bull company in Austria said: “The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed. The complainant has a right of appeal.” Red Bull appointed an independent barrister to conduct the investigation into the unspecified claims made against Horner. The probe included lengthy interviews with the individuals at the centre of the case and has taken several weeks. While media reports have speculated about the nature of the allegations against him, Red Bull has not offered any further details about what the matter was really about. It said, however, that it was fully confident the investigation had been conducted in a “fair, rigorous and impartial” manner. It added: “The investigation report is confidential and contains the private information of the parties and third parties who assisted in the investigation, and therefore we will not be commenting further out of respect for all concerned.-- Image Unavailable, Please Login Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing Team Principal Photo by: Erik Junius “Red Bull will continue striving to meet the highest workplace standards.”
I have to say that Hamilton's statements about Horner are just detestable. He said " an important moment for formula one " which implies Horner as being necessaraly guilty. Disgusting.
