Hello to all the new F1 fans that will base their opinions on a scripted and heavily edited BS show.

I got a good laugh out of the drivers greeting Lance Stroll ahead of Bahrain, when he was recovering from two broken wrists

    "Can you wank?"

"If he can drive a F1 car, he must be able to wank"

The concern they show for one another is genuinely touching. :D

I enjoy watching. But, don't get wrapped up in the "fake drama". I enjoy the look behind the curtain.

    The wanking comments were hilarious.
Zak commenting on not seeing dickheads in the offseason.
Otmar bitching that Aston just hired all of redbull's aerodynamics people. etc. etc.

    Danica annoying as hell.

The way they edited the Lewis/Toto episode was great. Really made them look insincere IMO.

I liked the way Vassuer was portrayed with Toto the Devil at the end when the Las Vegas "hit" on Sainz was discussed.

Toto is just your standard evil villian

    Per GP Blog —

Netflix viewer interest seems to be declining, the streaming service has announced. In the first weekend after the release of the sixth season, Netflix recorded a 30 per cent drop in viewers compared to the same period a year ago. On the opening days, there were 2.9 million viewers to the series.

Fewer hours watched on Netflix too
The total number of hours watched during the opening weekend was 21.8 million. That is 18 per cent lower than last year when 25.76 million hours were watched on the opening weekend. Exactly why there were fewer viewers and fewer hours watched is unclear. No doubt Netflix will come up with an explanation at a later stage.

For the streaming service, the drop probably comes as a cold shower. After all, the programme is one of the service's flagship shows. Meanwhile, filming has started for the seventh season.

They’ve spun off the concept for other series so it’s not unique to F1 any longer. Maybe that’s one reason.

Or the lack of racing up front given the last 2 seasons there was no doubt who would be winning. The curious fans of COVID lockdown era are no longer entertained is probably the most likely scenario. Last year was hardly a compelling year unless you think racing should focus on the mid-pack. Last year was an objectively boring season. 30% is a significant drop but there was a sense F1 had peaked already in 22 and the social media data was telling Liberty just that. They countered with utter ignorance but this number should be a 'wake-up' call for them.
