Forget it, he's just here to say that he can buy anything and that he's part of the earthly elite:rolleyes:
Just a megalomaniac approach, nothing too interesting...
He knows as much about Ferrari as I do about the reproduction of spiny lobsters in fresh water...

Hopefully we can agree that we value our time here to discuss with like minded people.
If someone wishes to create drama - then yes I take it personal - you should too.
Puro are now in owners hands and look forward to hearing their impressions vs what someone heard from someone - that will determine the value - nothing else.
Agree - this type of thread is not for me.

Freedom of internet. And I actually like to hear different mindsets. I feel like I have enough echo chambers, lol.

Market value will depend on “time”, like
stock options. If you’re lucky enough to get it in the first year you should be good. Look at what happened to the SF90… they peaked at 1 mil and now are down to 600k-ish after about a year….

I think the SF90 is really something very new from Ferrari, where as the PS is a refinement of a time honed concept- the V12 4 seater.

Not sure how the PS is a SF90 4 door- maybe you are saying you see it as an entry point to further Ferrari ownership? Thats usually been the place of the 4 seater, but I haven’t seen them making a special edition model of the 4 seater.

In my case I see it as an improved Lusso.

Based on my test drive, I think the PS rides considerably better than the 812 and even better than the Lusso. It also has both cars licked for body control, which is frankly uncanny. The increased refinement does come at the expense of some driver involvement at lower engine speeds. The good news is more involvement is a stab of your foot away. And the increased refinement is appreciated (at least by me) when youre in more mundane circumstances- which is what happens all too often in modern times. I really loved driving the PS and I kept trying to invent reasons why the dealer really should leave the demo with me for a few days…..

Anyway I can’t tell you what this means for future market values, I wish I had that kind of foresight. But I can tell you that this is a really special vehicle.

With interest rates going up higher deposits == Free money. If I was Ferrari, I would absolutely do this. $1bn in deposits at a very conservative rate of 2% a year is $20 million in additional income at 100% margin dropping straight to the bottomline. That is not nothing. Not to mention the negative cash conversion cycle which helps in funding future growth and usually generates a higher stock multiple.

Owned Cullinan Bentayga DBX G G63 Cadillac V - all based on another platform as are others / parts bin cars. Not a bad thing but not a good thing either when you think of exclusivity. Lusso FF 612 are great cars - Puro has four doors and IMO best one out there.
Ferrari now offers their customers a full garage.
Digging deep into values on a car that Is just now being placed in customers hands - is silly.
Understand the discussion but it's not for me - too many people with too much time.
    Peace out :)

Really? The classes aren’t reserved for a select few Ferrari owners? I’m shocked!

Agreed. I’ve driven both. Puro drives better overall. It’s actually more balanced.

Better is a comparative between subjective items in this case.

Id say the 812 is more dramatic and the PS is more refined.

Both are awesome in their own use cases.

I can certainly see why you’re getting one - it ticks all your boxes. My take is a little different - after much thought I finally turned my allocation down. The deal breakers for me were the haptic controls, the really poor rear view and the detuned engine and heavier car compared to the 812. I also wanted a bike rack for the car and what Ferrari came up with was a very poor afterthought. Fortunately I found a more interesting alternative (for me). Since I sent my dealer the email turning this down plus the 296GTS I’ve had zero response - so no doubt in the Ferrari dog house - such is life but if a car doesn’t meet your needs why buy it.

It’s great to read views like yours which, shows the car really fits what you want and like many others - I’m sure you’ll have years of enjoyment.

You’re right- if it’s not fitting your needs- or just not grabbing your imagination- then there is really no point- especially at this level.

My own take on the controls from living with a 296 for some time- I wish it was different- but I found I could work with it. At first I was very frustrated with the controls- then I said- ok, get over it- the car itself is incredible.

In the end you have to find what works best for you- I hope what you chose works out splendidly- this is why we have choices.

I owned 812 and Lusso's - believe with owning PS, I ll have two in one as a better package. Just loved to have a bit more V12 engine sound in the cabin. New garage: Roma Spider, 296 GTS and PS

I can see that but I dont think the PS is like a big 812. I think the Lusso was closer to being an F12 with extra capacity. The PS really feels like a top luxury car when you are poodling around, and then, when you get on it, it has the Ferrari feel- but its not like an 812 or F12, which always feel “Ferrari”. The PS is just far more refined and accomplished.

I had the same initial feeling - although it started to grow on me.....similar to a top wine that, over time, one starts to appreciate the fine subtleties of finesse :)

...again, a bit more V12 drama in the cabin would be greatly appreciated

I agree with your view on the Purosangue v the 812. To me the Purosangue had poor rear visibility - tragic haptic controls, a detuned V12 and is a heavier car. The suspension no doubt is excellent but I wonder what the repair bills on that will be in a few years. As to buying a bunch of cars to get a limited car, I found this video interesting - it gets to Ferrari at around 13:35:

All about supply and demand. All depends on the perception and point of view. If the reporter was on the other side where he was the manufacturer his take on this would have been completely opposite.

I don’t consider the value development of SF90 vs PS being comparable.
    Why?
The technology off the SF90 will be repeated on its successors. The non-electrified V12 could be the last one in the PS.
The SF90 faces in-house competition with the 296, which’s performance data are not far from it at a considerably lower cost level.

low miles ones won't lose their value because PS opens a new segment. so many old people wanted a Ferrari SUV. Demand won't drop.

Think you might have something there. Currently have a SF90. Love it, so brutal! Ordered a 296gts. Got a weekender loaner of a 296gts from dealer last Fall. It is IMHO a SF90 on a smaller scale. Am happy our 296gts is next to be built this year(?) Now, as for the PS, have nothing to compare it to. Can’t wait to see what it looks like in real form. No idea when we will see it. Maybe in my next lifetime?

Why do older people want an SUV? I can't think of a single reason that would ever matter to an elderly person that wouldn't to a younger person. Makes no sense. Moreover, why a Ferrari SUV vs something else.

If anything I would assume someone younger with a family and wants to share the Ferrari experience with the kids.

These things will drop hard because they are over priced from the start, 50k to 100k in one year so if you are buying you better enjoy it.

I can provide some reasons I’ve observed. My father, for example, finds it much easier to get in and out of SUVs because of the increased seat height. It’s too hard for him to get out of lower cars. Turns out getting in is no problem though. He just kinda falls in and then says, “well, I’m in. We’ll deal with getting out later” [emoji16]
