Seems like Fred has turned the team around and made it much more efficient, getting rid of Mekkies was a big factor in the improvement.

I dont see many teams jumping in front of RB this year, they may slip up once orr twice and allow another team to get a win, but seriously the FIA need to re-appraise the testing and development rules.

Liberty cannot artificially create opportunities for other teams; it's up to them to step up !!

Just got done with my tape delay. My thoughts (as if anyone cares)

Congrats to Max for the WDC in 2024
Perez is doing his job, 2nd is really his ceiling unless a meteor strikes Max midrace
Ferrari looking good early in the season, but I don't expect their development to keep pace with the other teams
Sainz did well and will re-ignite the drama, but I think LeClerc is the better driver. Just bad luck on the brakes for him today.
Expect Russell to do better than Hamilton over the season, especially as Lewis gets cut out by the team during midseason.
Sauber (Kick Stake Whatev) looks decent
I don't understand the position swap at RB. Danny Ric didn't earn that kind of deference.

I agree with this. But if one driver HAD to be let go, I’d let go Charles. So much talent but hasn’t exploited it (and he’s too inconsistent).

Danny Boy is the single most overrated driver in all of motorsports

he needs to be in the broadcast booth, or a Red Bull "ambassador" like DC or Webber

I keep waiting for Max to have a reliability or driver mistake DNF.

… I’ve been waiting for over a year now, and getting settled in for waiting a couple more years.

But it has to happen at some point. Right?

Between Ham and Chuck, 2025 is looking to be less a winning season for Ferrari than a "whining" season. :p

    "My fronts lock up"
    "My seat is broken"
    "My brakes don't like me"
    "My engine is too hot"
    ;)

(Um, don't race cars have a brake balance control?)

Ferrari setting themselves up with two drivers who are NOT team players?
    Doesn't bode well.

Red Bull seems to have a Penske level of preparation. Other teams must be disheartened.

    My BIG question ia this
Put Charles or Alonso or George...any top tear...in this RB car in this race....do you think the results would have been as impressive as Max's ?

Seems like Red Bull is still in total control; Ferrari 2nd as long as their two drivers don't crash each other...
Mercedes and McLaren are fighting for a position on the manufacturers podium, Aston Martin is nowhere considering their claimed ambition, and Alpine is nowhere no matter what.

The brake balance control adjusts bias front to rear. Charles balance issue was specifically the front axle and balance left to right. This could have been caused by a significant difference in temps left to right (for example).

Yes. There is no question that any of the tier 1 drivers would be a country mile ahead in that car. Add Lando and Ham to your list. The engineering mastery of Newey is quite spectacular. The true F1 GOAT and massively under appreciated considering his monumental achievements in the sport.

Seems like max puts in the work. He seems to always be on some sim racing. I'm sure its different than the car, but from my time in an aviation sim, there is real value. I don't seem to hear the other drivers as involved with that.

Seems to me that Charles was complaining that the car was bottoming out when braking when it was early in the race. Too soft or too low at the front? Because around the halfway point the issues disappeared.

IMO Haas outperformed expectations. If not for his lap 1 incident Hulk would have been in front of KMag.
