Hi all! I am new here. I’ve recently bought an F355 gts. It has oem brake discs and pagid Yellow at 50% of life. I am thinking to replace them with factory brembo pads (which model?). Also thinking to replace front discs with new oem pair (about 500 euros for the pair). The car has 90.000 kms but i don’t know if the discs has been replaced in the past.,Thoughts?

Pics of your car? You shouldn’t have pagid yellows unless you have a Fiorano Handling Pack car.

Looks like they are close to new
No need replacing if braking action is good

Rotors look almost new to me. I’ve been told by Daniel at Ricambi the stock oem pads are good performance-wise and sound-wise but throw a lot of dust. Porterfield 4S pads have been on my car for about 15 years, on my third set I think. They brake really well with average dusting and no squeaking that I recall.

Definitely eligible for a simple pad swap. Just remember to properly bed in the new pads once installed.

Is it normal to see more dusting on the rear than the front?

I believe my car has factory pads front and rear. I haven't checked the part numbers so they could be different compounds? Braking performance is fine (quite good, actually) but the rears are a lot dustier than the fronts.

In theory, the Teves ABS system can wear rear pads more than fronts. This is because all rear brake activation is done by the ABS pump, while the front circuit has some traditional hydraulic cylinder activation with assistance from the ABS pump.

But the only other car I have that uses the Teves ABS system (Alfa Romeo Milano Verde) has inboard rear brakes, so dusting on the rear wheels is literally not a thing.

Yes, there is more weight back there and a bigger tire, too; so the front and rear develop rather similar brake torques.

Those look fine, but if you're looking for a performance boost the Porterfield R4S are a little better and have better fade resistance. Make sure you flush / bleed the system, as fluid goes bad. Pads and rotors don't really age out the way tires or fluids do, so changing them if they have life isn't really necessary.
