Just had a conversation with some of my peeps. We chose the red Corvette as the potential winner. We'll find out tomorrow. I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but some of the wheel sizes border on 'cartoon' like.

I think that's what makes it charming. It's a less obvious car that's been shown some love. All the best, Andrew.
Saw this coming: Detroit, MI: The 2024 Winner of the Ridler Award presented by Meguiar’s is David Maxwell, from Saltsburg Pennsylvania with his 1953 Chevrolet Custom Coupe “TwelveAir” built by the team at Kindig-It Design. Congratulations to the owner and build team! #autorama #detroitautorama #isca Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Was #2 on my list, only hoping for the C300….. This one could have benefited from a better wheel choice…..
Yup, that was the one glaring minus for myself. Wheel size is sooo important for the correct stance and look.
Nice they didn't just go for the Corvette. They went for the car inspired by a concept that was inspired by the Corvette instead. The wheels and wheel arches on the TwelveAir feel a little weird to me. Like the rims should be slightly smaller, tires much taller, and suspension raised a bit. Then you'd see the full wheel when looking at the car from the side. It's an odd effect that the car rides so low that the tops of the alloys disappear into the arches, but there's plenty of space fore and aft. I guess that's what they were going for, but it's feels unfamiliar and odd to me. All the best, Andrew.
I agree, Andrew, it’s one of the very rare times where yours truly thinks the wheels are too large. Too large. Who would have guessed. My peers would be incredulous.
A scratch-built 1:1 scale model. The Ridler has long since become a display of how much cash you can spash on a "car" that will never be driven. I was kind of pulling for the '56 shoebox...in vain of course -
"After 5 years of keeping a closely guarded secret, Kindig-it Design is thrilled to finally unveil to our fans and supporters the culmination of our passion and dedication: “TwelveAir”, Inspired by the Corvette Based Corvair Concept Car displayed at the 1953 GM Motorama. For the past 25 years, Kindig-it Design has been driven by a shared dream, born from the minds of a group of misfits with a vision... “TwelveAir” represents the culmination of all these dreams and visions. Over these past five years, our team of engineers, fabricators, mechanics, and body techs have been secretly working their fingers to the bone to bring this automotive work of art to life. What began as a dream has become a reality, thanks to our wonderful clients Dave and Tracey Maxwell. Their trust in our team has empowered us to reach new heights, and we are forever grateful for the opportunity they afforded us. “TwelveAir” is more than just a car; it’s a testament to our team’s craftsmanship, creativity, and sheer determination. Every aspect of this masterpiece has been handcrafted to our highest standard, from the scratch-built all-aluminum body to the custom-built V12 engine, and F1-style monospring suspension. “We did not take this opportunity lightly,” says Dave Kindig, founder of Kindig-it Design. “We poured our hearts and souls into every detail, pushing ourselves to go as far as we possibly could. The result is a true rocketship that embodies our passion for automotive design.” As we prepare to unveil “TwelveAir” to the world, we invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone achievement. Back to our regularly scheduled programming: From today's www.autoextremist.com Image Unavailable, Please Login (Rolls-Royce images) Calling it "A Coachbuilt Haven of Tranquility," Rolls-Royce has introduced the Arcadia Droptail, a commission for an exceptionally well-heeled customer in Singapore. It is the company's third Coachbuilt Droptail. The commission is named after Arcadia, a place known in Ancient Greece mythology as "Heaven on Earth." Details? The wood section took 8,000 hours to create. Reports suggest it cost at least $30 million, but who knows? New charger 2dr 4dr. 2dr is electric while the 4dr will come with ICE options https://www.dodge.com/next-gen-charger.html The 2 door is very slab sided, seems like picking the right color will help things out massively. We need more B5 blue in the world anyways Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not impressed with this design. Looks like little, if any effort, to advance. And, why would the 2 dr only be an electric when the platform must be able to handle a real engine too? ChryCo is running around lost in the wilderness.
Ok I was wrong, that's what I get for skimming. The electric version will arrive first with the I6 powered coming next year. The gas-powered Charger Sixpack will come with both two and four doors, and production will begin in the first quarter of 2025
