you & this @iamadonkey or horse guy are just miserable people taking pleasure in someones downfall and piling on & on - thats about it! as i said, haven't seen anyone say Art scammed them, as for bad customer service, sure that seems to be what happened, which is alot different than scamming people..

You apparently stated Art practice acceptable even though many customers have stated numerous similar complaints. You ignored them and rather deflected on the characters of those who filed complaints, when you don't know them in person.

I see that you are in car business as well. Please make sure to learn from other's mistakes and not repeat them. This will be a general sage advice regardless of how you think you are in terms of running business.

Just absolute haters that you can tell are literally taking joy in someones life & business being turned up side down...i get it if it was someone scamming people , i hate scammers & thieves..however from even the complaints i've seen that wasn't the case...bad customer service is unacceptable and should be called out, but isn't the same outright scamming.

yes i'm in the car business, does that make me a bad person or something? the last thing i need is advice about running a business from a miserable person such as yourself...is posting my website some sort of threat? i don't get it ...

 

and the most vocal people happen to be the ones who had the worst cars to begin with, no coincidence there.

So far you are the only person name calling when people expressed different opinions and defended their positions. That kind of behavior you displayed simply invited more criticism here, and the reason is exactly because we are not in high school anymore. What may have worked for you in high school obviously needs some self reflection.

 

The back and forth on this lengthy thread reminds me of a personal experience. We had season tickets for a few seasons to a local theater group. It wasn't a small town theater, this was a pretty big theater organization in a major 1M population city. We enjoyed the performances, but had heard that the theater was struggling financially, so we were cautious about each season renewal. Well the last season, they put forth a big campaign to get subscribers to renew early, posted their upcoming season plays, and had some kind of bonus or discount for renewing early (I forget exactly what). Well, 4 weeks after we renewed, they folded.

So it wasn't an amount that I couldn't tolerate and I had an inkling that there might be trouble, but it was still low 4-figures. But what really annoyed me was that the board of trustees all got up and promoted the next season and the stability of the theater group and then took hundreds of subscribers for ticket fees that they must have known was very iffy given how quickly they folded. I won't trust or credit anyone who was on that board of trustees.

Yes, they had a track record of delivering up to then, but then their finances caught up with them and they couldn't. But rather than take their lumps and reorganize, with their creditors, suppliers, and employees, they fleeced the subscribers (took money without a clear plan to deliver) that was their reason for being. That sounds very much like what happened here. Just because the old EAG delivered to earlier customers, doesn't mean that their later actions are creditable. There's a fine line between customer financing and something that morphs into a Ponzi scheme.

My car was in Eddie Smith Jr.'s collection. It was in excellent condition. The only damage was a little bit of curb rash on some of the wheels a little bit of stretching on the airbag cover which is easily fixed. Of course, as mentioned earlier, the e-diff had been crippled. You can see it here. The paint flaw Dan point's out was done in shipping, they weren't there prior to shipping. You'd be hard pressed to find a better example. The only reason I sold it is because I saw what was coming and felt a bit insecure on the future value due to how Art wasn't going to honor his contract with me. Dan sold it for $184k.
