How to remove the aircon dash vents on 328?

    The round vents for the AC system on the dash are failing on my car.

    I thought maybe they popped out the top, but I can't get them to move.

    Does anyone know how they are removed safely? Part 22 in the image below.

    Do they just pop out of the dash to the top?

    If you drop the center console (7) maybe there's room to slide your hand up there and push them out from below.

    Yes they pop out quite easily from the top.
    As others have said, don’t pull at the flaps as they can easily break.
    Pull up on the inner rim

    Verell sells replacement vents, and also sells repair kits for broken ones. Expensive, of course, but at least they are "obtainium".

    @GrigioGuy if you look very carefully you will see that the shutter attachments are beveled that's help for dismantling the shutters but you should go slowly or you will break something as the one in the middle on you picture
