We don't know yet on which side Newey is leaning.
I think he is keeping his powder dry, waiting for the outcome, to see which faction comes on top at the end.
But that episode has damaged Red Bull in the long run, and shattered its cohesion as a team.

Christian Horner's accuser has reportedly been suspended by Red Bull after his wife, Geri Halliwell, demanded that he cut contact with the employee.

 

Suspended "for her own protection", it goes without saying. Lol

Clearly they (Red Bull) found something (or a lot of things) that didn’t line up. Companies don’t suspend victims…that is just begging for a lawsuit.

Anyone that thinks Geri had the accusor suspended is an idiot. Geri doesn’t get to make that call

Won’t matter. She’s suspended so any “new” evidence will only shine an even brighter bad light on her. Seriously, who parcels out “evidence” in bite size bits?

The best thing that can happen to her now is for this to die down, take her severence package, and thank her lucky stars she wasn’t treated like Horner was.

 

Why force Marko out? Just everybody concentrate on racing and leave it go.

 

Adrian Newey must be fed up and embarrassed with this high school behaviour and Jos the hoodlum, and his next engine supplier Ford is hysterically wringing their hands like the high school hall monitor.

Toto should offer him triple plus 5% of MB plus $5m pension; he is the most critical resource in F1, drivers will follow. He could work til retirement in England.

I know I'm ignoring facts re: Horner's management impact, contract details, etc. Ferrari is toast for the next 5 years -- diversity on Sunday, sell less cars on Monday; with the collapse of RB, Toto can come back.

Have they found that the jndividual in question was simply blackmailing Horner, or trying to extort a large sum,of money from Red Bull for victimisation, perhaps?

 

Me thinks this will ALL become public. If not, then perhaps Fiona Hewitson is not as innocent as she paints herself.

My position; if Red Bull and Christian Horner did nothing wrong and there is nothing to hide, then I agree with Ford, Toto, Zak = don’t hide then.

After all, Horney did nothing wrong, right?. Why hide if you are blameless, I know every disagreement I had when I knew I was in the right, I was skeezing to show all the evidence. Unless of course that evidence somehow shows I’m at least partly culpable?

Another possibility, $$$$$$ and released, agreement she stays quiet forever, and they can give the reason she was ‘dishonest .’ She spends rest of her days boinking Jos. Sure, she’s has zero dignity, but it’s her life.

I said it to someone else today but:

a) if the messages are in fact real, Horner talks like a ****ing teenager
b) if THAT's all that happened, that's as spicy as it got...it's absolutely ludicrous. From the messages it's clear she's definitely been involved with him at some point and it was definitely consensual. She's about as bad as him then in that regard (not knowing if she's single or not).

If you release the ''dossier'' then you'll surely make him look as bad as possible. those texts weren't it. It made him look like a horny teenager but that's it really (didn't read all of it as my brain can only read so much teenager talk before it shuts down and starts raging).

 

My thoughts now:

Red Bull has been very clear that the matter is closed and they will NOT have further public comment…

Jos is involved in this, Red Bull has to have this stance. If it came out (Jos’ being involved) it puts Max in a rock/hard place to choose loyalty to his dad or Red Bull.

 

Make sure you read all the texts. Fiona said she doesn't want Horney to call her while he jacks off.

Christian says fine, and the next set of texts shows Fiona complaining he sequestered her. I get it if she was a mechanic, she says stop, he says sure, and they part ways - no problem. Seriously, people try to shoot the shot all the time at work.

Different when the basket is your personal secretary. Sort of hard to 'part ways' when her official role is his personal assistant.

I got no problem with adults trying to get into each other's pants, but if the texts are real, Horney decided to punish her for not letting him jizz the rizz.

Again, assuming this is the *real* narrative, I fully acknowledge I'm engaging in back page speculation. That said, only one way to *truly* find out right?

Be transparent. I think the ball is in Fiona's court. If her claims are true, I would roll the dice and go to court. Fiona's already doxxed, might as well go all they way and let a jury of your peers decide.

 

There is a reasonable chance that it got "settled" with money and the PA likely would have signed some form of NDA. Given the texts have been leaked after Horner was cleared of wrong doing, that would break the NDA and she would be required to pay the money back. Red Bull could have a stance that her actions are deliberate to hurt Red Bull Racing since Horner is tight within that brand. Those easily would be grounds for suspension. I would not be surprised if a legal battle ensues and she either gets fired or gets pushed out to the point she official quits.

But then... will she expose more which legally could get her in a lot of trouble?
