I like it but I was told the back window was small by MM on one of my post a month back and day 355 said it wasn't split window either
The amount of talent on this forum! I hope the finished F167 will look somewhat this radical. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Below is the link of a very recent video where one of the F167 mules appears with the lights on. This mule is the same one that had already been spotted on February 13th and where you can see the same black cavity on the rear fender. On this last mule is possible to see the tail lights lighted and they appear to be tapered. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4LaegwqOc0/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ok, I tried to connect our ideas of the roof and the rest of the body in a quick sketch. By the way, I discovered the drone photo with the characteristic roof early last year in an official Ferrari video and posted it here in the Fchat. So: Short, powerful rear. Subtle Nolder over the stripe with the taillights. Small, low-positioned rear window. Distinctive, central nozzle in the diffuser. Long bonnet and a kind of targa roof with possible flying buttresses. What do you think? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Marcel Please can you tell me if you would know if the spider will be shown with the coupe in Maranello at the end of May/ early June? After my dealer saying they would not be launched together, he is now implying the spider will follow on very quickly after the coupe. Thanks Grant
Beautiful! Pure artistry. So is the thought that the horizontal swage line, as also predicted by @savio.79 (and some of my earlier sketches), back as a possibility? I don’t really like flying buttresses, but I expect something to this effect also based on the fact that all the camo (including the recent rigid type) are ‘puffed’ out in this area. Great find, BTW, of the drone images. Do you have higher definition of these?
Excellent drawing! Maybe the lights will be in the SP48 Unica style? Double on each side, embedded in the embossed (in depth) black stripe. That embossed (in depth) black stripe that starts at the front and runs along the side (and perhaps on the F167 goes all the way to the rear), reminds me a lot of the one on the F50.
Thank you to everyone for the positive comments on my drawings! If these drawings entertain you a little, it´s a good thing (because the endless wait for the first photos of the new vehicle is a nightmare for all of us). But there are so many talented and interested people here! The list would be endless if I listed them all. True vehicle enthusiasts! Then drawing is fun (for us) because people who are really interested in it see it. And this thread is something of a “men’s support group” too (in a way it reminds me of the “Big Bang Theory“ and those science nerds debating with each other). Has this idea already been completely rejected? At the moment I wouldn’t rule out almost anything... Oh yes, you're probably right! Here is the link to the video: From 18:12 to 18:17 you can see the prototype areal and the vehicle(s) on it. But there is no higher resolution available, sorry!
The Video is only 720P so I don't think we can do much better than this. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Closer with filters but not enough pixels to work with. Even screenshot the 720P video on a 4K system. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Quick, rough sketch of a few minutes (but with much better proportions): I sharpened the fenders; the central aero nozzle in the diffuser is also very dominant on the prototype. Interesting: Although I drew a long bonnet, the short rear with the new look of the buttress and the small, low-slung rear window gives more of the impression of a mid-engine sports car. Cool!
Lol. I did use the Photoshop 2024 Beta Ai filters but they just smoothed it more. Sadly at that size there are just far to few pixels to work with.
Disgrace taking credit for the F12. PF had it on their website as them penning the design which carries their name plate. Mr. flaps and gills wishes he had that talent.
The F12berlinetta is born under Ferrari Design with Flavio Manzoni. The official proposals from Pininfrina have NOTHING in common with the F12. And from the official sketches is very visible the badge Ferrari Design. It can be seen that there is a lot of enthusiasm here in discovering what the lines and design of the 812 SF replacement will be like. High quality sketches have already been posted by a restricted group of artists through which they try to guess what is hidden beneath the camouflage of the latest F167 mules. I could be wrong and it is not my intention to discourage anyone, but after what happened with the premature leak of the Purosangue pictures, this time the uncamouflaged prototype of the F167 must be very well hidden and stored inside a building like in a safe away from all the curious eyes. Recently, using satellite images with good resolution, I decided to take a look at Ferrari's Maranello factory to see if there was any trace of this F167 prototype without the camouflage. Unfortunately there was no trace of the car on the flesh therefore after I focused on the three areas of the factory that the arrows point to in the first picture. I then counted the number of mules that could be seen and do you know how many I could identify of various types and models ? 60, a very high number, and they appear each in the pictures marked with a red circle. Interestingly, some of these car parks where the mules are parked look like cemeteries. I can assure you that this is not true. The F 12 was born made from scratch by Pininfarina, and the designer " Andréa Militello " left his health on this project by the number of nights of work he did to give life to the F 12. Manzoni just had the headlights modified because he found the car too elegant and lacking in aggressiveness. Consequently the 812 exacerbates this aggressiveness, and which also comes from a long history...
If true, this is beyond hilarious in the context of this board. Glad PF didn’t get their F12 designs above approved - they are significantly worse than the Ferrari Design Studio’s F12 ideas as shown above (which is clearly the inspiration for the F12). People will have to rethink their appraisals of Manzoni methinks! If true, and it seems so, this will keep me amused for weeks. By the way, it’s not the first time PF claim others’ work as their own. The original 458 had rear-mounted vents on the three-quarter, like an exaggerated 430. LDM said ‘no’ and insisted on a different design without the vents. It’s a well-known story. But of course, PF get the credit because of the official arrangement they had with Ferrari. But the fact remains, if they had had their way, our beloved 458 would look little like it does. I note Day355’s comments above but I’m not sure where the drawings shown came from. Are they false?
F12 has a wide mouth shark front face which is very aggressive like it is going to devour the road yet also classic with the grills. the 812 has an insectoid front end like a preying mantis very similar to the mclaren 720. obviously i think the 812 is fairly ugly and the F12 strikes the right balance.
What you've mentioned is the true. This discussion is already old but the impression I have on this subject is that Flavio Manzoni to some extent contributed to this false idea that it was he and the Ferrari design center who were the authors of the F12 B design. A few weeks ago on post # 6798 of this thread I posted a very well written article by Rosario Scelsi, a respected Italian automobile journalist, about the designs made by Pininfarina and later by Flavio Manzoni. There it is mentioned that F.M. contributed to the aesthetic definition of the F12 B but its design is attributed to Pinifarina house. Honestly, is there anyone who believes that a car that was designed by Manzoni and his team could be the last one to have the name Pininfarina inscribed on its sides?
