Owner traded it in for a 512 bb at Veloce1600, now that dealer is selling it.

Beautiful QV. It checks all the boxes. As far at the CARFAX ding, personally it wouldn’t bother me if I was in the market to buy one.

That coupled with Old market foolishness.

That car was bid to 2034 the first time it sold on bat!

Perhaps, but if past BaT auctions/sales are any indicators, it seems that non US resident autos (this QV is located in Calgary, AB Canada) fetch lower values... unless the auto is very rare/desirable. It is odd in a way, as old/vintage car importation is very straightforward/ not that complicated and in fact can be handled by customs brokers for very modest $. The only thing that could cause an issue is the buyer's State's DMV requirements for out of State vehicles, etc. and so some due diligence needs to be done.

    Cheers,

    Sam

He started with decent communication but now The ?s & comments seem to be ignored by the seller, that could tank the auction.
One of the persons being ignored so far is the high bidder.

    Seller seems foolish.

Not providing videos for startup, walkaround and drive is also a major mistake. Why not take the time to get those done and relieve concerns that potential bidders may have? Most bidders on BaT never get the chance to see the cars or get a PPI done, so there is a lot of doubt at play that needs to be addressed. I think the car owners often don't fully realize that - they put a lot of money and work into it, they know their car, they know it's good and assume that this comes through in the auction. It does not. Videos are as close to an in-person interaction as it gets. They seem necessary to me

Watching this with interest, as I have an ‘85 red book copy of this car. Unless something wild happens today on the last day of bidding, it appears the hammer will be a fair bit under $100K. Shame as like so many other collectibles at the moment, prices have been stagnant. I have no plans to sell mine…but I have far more than $100K in making it perfect.

Still a bargain after a $38k full engine-out service. That car is sorted
