Same as the one I bought new, the only car I regret selling -such a special car, with so many items different from the standard 911.

 

It gets street creds with blue cars

 

This car was sold to a buyer in Oz for £456k.

Anyone know whom bought it?

 

Could only be a dealer -who will hold it for 2 years to avoid the LCT/GST

Landed with full taxes 1.3m Aus

How do you know it's coming to Australia?

 

Heard it today on the Collecting Cars podcast.

Revealed the price £450k + £6k commission and that it’s going to a well know person in Oz.

 

I didn’t realise Greg / Carl were that well known outside of Oz

They looked great in the yellow and in white .

 

Yes, traditional colours of an egg

 

But an egg that thrashed the Ferrari 355ch in GTP.

Plus a far more interesting car and assembled at the factory racing department, whereas the 355CH was just a road car with a few add-ons in a box !

The 355 won the GTP series and looked good doing it, not like that ugly POS

Three of the 355ch were built at the factory as challenge cars, mine being one of them

 

The 993RS won the GTP or production sports car championship 5 years in a row 95, to 99 seasons -I should KNOW as not only did I own a 993RS but crewed in the Formula Brabham-Holden series which ran at the same meetings.

Regarded by many as the best air-cooled 911 ever I think that is the ex-Beninca GTP winning car ?

 

Cool car from the era and all older Porsches look best in black.

 

white and yellow for that model

 

Both cool colours, but black is best IMO.
