Lucky duck the car looks lovely Greg, I got the 360 back from the shop after pis adjustment yesterday and boy is it smoother on take off, still a bit grumpy for the first 5 minutes when cold, unfortunately the two exits from my place to the main rd are junctions on a hill so nailing the take off without smelling clutch is quite an art [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Just got the PIS adjusted and you will have to book it back in for a clutch replacement next week by the sounds of it lol What did they charge you for the PIS adjustment? An hours labour pretty much?

Read years ago here on the forum that you should think twice about owning an F1 gearbox if you have to reverse the car uphill in your driveway every day lol. This was 15 years+ years ago of course. I assume the 458/488s have come along way since then and are probably good. They were talking about the 360 and 430s at the time. The system modulates (rides the clutch) on and off while you try to reverse back up a hill and that is the reason why you smell clutch every time you do it lol
Do you still have that? I had a MY99 and it was the first car I ever bought new. Loved it, optioned the interior in leather which the dealer did locally. Only sold it as it was broken into a few times, cants couldn’t find the immobiliser so couldn’t steal it but made a mess each time. This was around the time they were popular as ram raiders…
Yes still have it. Went to service this morning at pulse racing. my son’s first car and a Special Edison but need a little tlc as was a daily before done 110,000kms.
When you put it in reverse on an incline, you should pull the down flappy paddle and it puts it into a mode that is kinder on the clutch (not sure but i think the slip is better controlled)
Yes, basically no insurance unless you had a tracker system installed. Mine had a tracker with a panic button near the drivers knee in case you were carjacked lol. My dad dropped me off at the airport once and on his way back he inadvertently hit the button with his knee. In that situation the security company would call one of your contacts in this case my sister and they wanted permission to call the cops and chase the car down. Luckily she knew what he was up to and told them don’t worry he’s just old and has no idea
The 575 has done 75k km, original clutch is at 50%. It was 55% when I bought it and I’ve done about 9k km since
