My Dad was not a fan of the Verde Nijinksky color….nor did he like the white, black and green plaid interior either. He made a mistake using Black Naugahyde for the interior instead of leather. He regretted that decision.

In 1978 my new bride and I were supposed to take my 330 GTC on our driving honeymoon. Except the alternator went bad the day of the wedding. My Dad offered his C/4 for our trip. I fell in love with the car too! We drove it to NYC at the Hilton where it was parked out front. Afterwards we drove it to the Poconos and to the mountains of VA. It was a 3 week honeymoon on the East Coast….great trip. I remember dropping the C/4 into 3rd gear in the Baltimore Harbor tunnel and floored it. It howled along the way!! It’s a great sounding exhaust note.

Alongside the Daytona the C/4 is one of the bargains in the marketplace.

14953 is still going strong, 107K miles under it's belt. Competed in the New England 1000 rally in October and had a blast.

Hi Sam,

We had signed up for the NE 1000 last year too, But unfortunately I got hit with bad stroke in August. I am working as hard as I can to recover. Maybe we can touch base in the future. Any chance are you signed up for the FCA annual at Elkhart Lake? That’s my goal.

Your first photo in post 148 does show Brandon Wang, near the car. However, as I said already, he doesn't own 16261. And those UK plates have nothing to do with Wang. Those pix were taken 12 years ago.
As mentioned before 16261 belongs to Mr. D., global executive vice chairman at UBS in Zurich, Switzerland (while previously working for Credit Suisse he used to take care of Russian oligarchs such as Alisher Usmanov, Roman Abramovich and Viktor Vekselberg). And yes, Mr. D. uses 16261 with UK plates in Switzerland.

Not only in the car, as in the link above from Giotto also with the key in the hand leaning at tha a-pillar
and also behind the steering wheel driving it.
Seems then that he borrowed it.

And yes, i saw some pics with the new owner, looks like the car got new paint and wears still the UK number plates.
Andreas Birner posted some pics on instagram some months ago.

But have to say, the patinated paint in the older pics looks gorgeous!

 

As said, those pix are 12 years old. Mr. D. has enjoyed 16261 since many years and also used it in several issues of the Ferrari Factory Cavalcade Classic in Italy (2019 and 2023), he also showed the car at the Lions Club Classic Concours held in Lugano 2022. The car has been maintained by two Swiss based dealers, one being WHS in Bachenbülach/Zurich, the other being the official Ferrari dealer Niki Hasler AG in Basel, Switzerland (see below photo from 2023).

I recall speaking with Violati and his engineer in the Le Mans paddock when that car was first raced in that guise and, even though I was very young, wondering what they were thinking;-)!

Difficult to say which Oro it is. Marcel should know.
These metallic colors are particularly suited to the lines of the GTC/4.
Some years ago this car was red.

 

I would say say Oro Kelso like the one I drove in Florida, like my ex Khamsin and like another C4 I saw tucked away in a castle in western France, about 11 years ago. It was covered with dust, Oro Kelso with senape interior and not for sale. Glad the red car is back to a proper color
