It was my understanding that RM Sothebys fee was a flat 20%- which puts it at $375 If the hammer was $280, then according to the RM Sothebys T&C'S, it is a 20% fee ( up to $1m). That puts the out of door price at $336k. las-vegas-2023-sothebys-conditions-of-business.pdf (rmsothebys.com) I didnt realize 20% was the buyer fee. Ouch. Gooding is 25%!
I feel like the buyer fees at Sothebys and Gooding and the like can’t be sustainable in the long run. When some of the online auctions are charging $4500-7500, why would sellers take that hit? The all in price for the buyer might be around the same at BaT but the seller takes less home at Sothebys. Plus the car history is a little more opaque at BJ, for example. It’s no wonder cars like the P1 are popping up at C&B. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
My numbers were correct on their fees. It specifically stated for Miami 2024 it was 12% up to 250 and 10% thereafter.
Watched this on YouTube last night as it’s basically the same as my car but not as good condition(!). Hammer was 190k USD so I make that 218,500 USD all in
I got word this week that this one in Japan recently sold for 200k USD. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Seems cheap for this spec. What would a mint Argento with 15-18k miles get in the US. Highly original with stripe?
It depends on the seller. Some dealers are extremely honest while others are complete ****e. My dealer had the car inspected by the dealer and took care of a few things before delivery. Ball joints and t belt.
If you look closely at the photos you can see some things need attention, the wheels appear to be in fairly rough shape for example. So there’s probably a bunch of work needed. Plus it’s on some temporary import papers in Dubai so you’d have the hassle of exporting it somewhere immediately, or getting it registered in Dubai I guess. Maybe not surprising it didn’t hit the numbers seen for US cars recently.
There's two Lexan window cars on the market atm in Europe! Link 1 Link 2 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The lexans are SO COOL! Just couldn't bring myself to do the conversion though. It's so impractical. Haha.
That's right! SO COOL! I'll never forget seeing it for the first time in the classic 2006 launch commercial for the CS!
