Fair points. In principle I agree with many of them. Of course, value is part and parcel of every automotive forum I frequent, some more so than others, with FChat having the lowest % of value conversation. Philosophically, I try to be patient with the value first crowd. Frankly, I remember when I was just like them. It was not that long ago, and I make a habit of not forgetting where I came from. I also feel that passion should trump budget, yet another reason to make room for value first members.

Having said all that, many years ago I developed a hack to get past my own personal value concerns. I set up a separate account into which I deposited fungible money every month. I treated the money as an absolute sunk cost. Money that would be for the singular purpose of fueling my automotive addiction. I would build up the account systematically, and then buy cars, and would not give costs a second thought. That philosophy has largely worked to avoid focusing too much on the price I pay rather than the value I receive. Fundamentally, life is short and if you can buy a Ferrari, you should buy a Ferrari.

I am all for helping but SF90 is not like other models - nowhere close.
SF90 ranges 500k to 1M which has never been the case at this production level.
XX or special track versions prior has never had an increase this large.
Base 500k coupe to 900k base XX coupe. Which is why I think SF90 is the best performing car for the money and love the design.
Ferrari offering 1000hp is insane - hope dealers make sure customer cars are serviced - tires go really quick / drivers better understand tire temps.

Agreed Regarding tire wear I had the dealer put nitrogen in the tires before delivery. The Cup2 tires seem to run cooler in my experience.

Wonder what reserve was? I prefer the sf90 but many 296s available for less than $500k.

New to watching the SF90 / 296 markets but most of the 296 cars look a little plain which may be why the prices are low. I think the reserve for the red car was $550k - $575k.

    MSRP is 615k

Currently with about 2 hours to go, the highest bid is 455k.

    I'm guessing RNM.

Was originally listed here for 614k, lowered to 594k, lowered to 559k and finally 550k. Guess they thought BAT will turn out better for them. 1 hour left and I agree will probably be RNM

in the comments iirc he said that's the third time he's tried to sell it and the third time he's lowered the reserve to finally admit defeat and sell it for what it's worth in the markets eyes

Been there and done that with many watches. What I thought the value was and what the true market value was were not the same.

This sort of captures what the SF90 is.

Yup we make money when we bought it, lose money when we sell.

I've our 5000 km on my sf90 spider and love it. I don't really care about the price fluctuations, because I'm not planning to sell it. But like other wrote, people who don't own it or drove it once or twice trash talk it but have no idea what a beautiful machine it is. I think it's pure jealousy, they can't afford it.

Buy it and enjoy it! It's a totally different Ferrari from anything else and it's super fun! And about the battery, I actually appreciate being able to drive out from my neighborhood on pure electricity.
