Nice, thanks for sharing; hopefully we continue to see more and more of the onion peeling back on the hidden features as we get closer and closer to unveil
Well done, my friend! I tried the same thing almost two years ago with a sketch about the SP48 Unica here in the thread (left side). We have to do it this way because the Centro Stile is currently laughing at us with a “Fake Countach“ driving around. This is our form of revenge... But as i said: Brilliant work done by you, especially on the taillights (and with the roof too). That gets us further! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The fact that there is a rear camera at the top makes me think that we will not have a rear window... A la 812 C?
There will be the camera and also a little window… but I’m wondering if inside there will be a big space for the luggage - as for the Berlinetta Lusso for example..
Whe discussing this car with my dealer, he made a very, very clearpoint, by himself. "The amount of haptics will be scaled down as Ferrari has heard very, VERY clearly that customers are hating the current layout"
Thank you for sharing. I wonder how much "scaled down" means. Eliminating this crap altogether would be ideal...
I've been watching this thread daily for the past 6 months, mulling over whether the replacement would warrant me replacing my 812 GTS. Just took her on her first drive of spring yesterday. For this new car to look as aggressive and sexy as the 812 is going to be difficult...
I do not have further details, but again my dealer was very, very verbal about this (important) design element! And het mentioned it by himself, I didn't ask the question.
Thanks for your input. I am a huge fan of Ferrari, but with the EV vehicles coming in the next decade, having a start button for those would be somewhat of an inside joke. Hopefully the last hybrid models go out with a bang with buttons!
Most makers are slowing down the EV push, Bentley announced this today, Mercedes and Aston Martin both have in the recent past. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ferrari comes out and rethinks the upcoming strategy. Edit: never mind just saw this link being shared in the Electric Ferrari thread. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/03/19/ferrari-boss-promises-emotion-wont-be-lost-in-ev-engine-roar.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Vigna seemingly haven't realized that the haptic buttons are disliked by many yet. I have 0 % confidence in him coming up with a revised EV strategy, even if the entire EV market crashed and burned tomorrow. He's on his own planet.
ROFLOL: How do you make an EV with emotion !!!. you couldn't do it with a electronic watch or phone and they have been around a while. What a joke!! BTW: As a Taycan owner I will say there is ZERO and I mean ZERO emotional attachment to the car. Awesome to drive and super quiet for inner city but useless on a long trip despite what the EV pushers say. Last point on the EV rant - I have less than zero interest in the "next best EV" - I will drive the Taycan until it falls apart as what can you offer me - better range and better "false emotion". Ferrari unfortunately are living in dream land if they think people will pay $500k+ for essentially a Tesla with a badge.
It won't be the same demographic that buys the F167 but I'd imagine any EV Ferrari would do quite well with women, people that live in cities with Iow emission zones, buyers that want the cutting edge tech regardless of energy source, etc... As long as it has a cavallino on it, there will always be at least a few buyers for whatever Ferrari makes. The trick is making sure its one less than the number of people that actually do.
In the first picture is the last mule spotted covered with panels. In the second picture is another mule less recent where the bodywork lines are noticeable. When we place the various panels that cover the first mule on the second mule we see that they fit perfectly. This leads me to believe that the bodywork underneath the panels of the first mule appears to be similar to that of the second mule. From this side view is also possible to see that the biggest difference between the two mules is in the front part of the bonnet and also in the grille. As a guy who bought many large displacement - Senna 765LT 812 458S 16m Viper Lambo SV Puro Roma Carrera GT GT3RS others Since ordering owning SF90Spider AF swore I would never buy hybrid but it's probably one of the best all around cars I have ever driven. It's fast stealth when you want - which I thought I would hate / hated electronics. The buttons are very easy to use - actually a blast to play around with and no sticky buttons - ever! Hitting the checkered flag button is very cool. I honestly think the SF90 gives the F1 feel with all the buttons etc - reminds me of the 16M when I felt the mule kicks shifting at high RPM's - Schumacher! I think many of you have judged these cars before their time - meaning I just got the Spider and the buttons or whatever may have been improved - it's like an iPhone update / Ferrari is improving. Either way - I think you all are a bit whacked and inexperienced - the buttons aren't bad in fact the touch controls are pretty damn cool! Let me tell you - when you have 1000hp and WOT on the hwy the hybrid seamless pull and power feels insane - try it before you knock it. I would love to see a hybrid assist like Lambo Sian in the next gen 812 and bring on the touch buttons - you all remind me of chrome bumpers and manual transmissions ole boys club - get over it red button - really? Funny how many guys ordered the last 430 and 599 in manual - not many! So please spare us and the others of how you know best and what Ferrari's customers want. Fact - Ferrari knows their customers better than the customers know themselves. Look at their stock!
Just sharing a different perspective from seat time. Many don't "like" the new touch but can't argue performance, numbers on track speak. Performance was over due as were updates- iPhone vs blackberry ... it's time to embrace both the old and new from Ferrari. P1 918 La seems to be doing just fine. Expect more electrics and wouldn't bet against Ferrari. Avg Rolls owner is 42 - who do you think Ferrari s is appealing to for the next decade. Ferrari North America new buyers is 47 -China is 32. These forums are a very small percentage of new buyers and most are aging out.
Most of the “aging out crowd” (which includes me who is relatively new to Ferrari ownership of only 10 years and 4 cars)is V12 oriented-agreed- new buyers for the most part don’t know any better and are attracted to bright screens and other shiny new objects. Newer stuff is not necessarily better stuff. Progress is often regression. And change is frankly change- it does not denote for better or worse, I certainly don’t fear it and do welcome it if we wish to adapt. But we each decide what we like and clearly most on this thread love NA V12 and a relatively analog feel to the car and cockpit. That does not mean I wouldn’t want a little hybrid assistance to keep the car performance relevant or a few well done haptics and if a few of us on this thread can help steer the Ferrari battleship in those directions even a little, great! If not we had fun trying despite our now feeble minds and bodies as we “age out” of existence. It will happen to you too- guaranteed. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
