I am aging out - there is no doubt and thought that was conveyed crystal clear. You do not have to buy a new Ferrari, there is a line around the block fighting for allocations, including me. A new dealership opened in my hometown - it brought me back as did the SF90 which surprised me and now have an XX on order. The ole boys club is just that - for some reason people post here with not an ounce of respect to the ones who support Ferrari and their new cars. Read the threads - very few new owners - shocking or they just don't care to post - I should not either as it's more in to knock Ferrari then appreciate.
Next gen is always faster and heavily sought, it's how they sell cars. 2008 - 09 scenario coming 2027 - 29 - great way to enjoy a Ferrari new model thread. Peace out
I hear you, just no idea how product differentiation will work going forward, Nobody buys a $ 20,000 IPhone.
No but they’ll pay $1300 for an Hermes Apple Watch compared to $800 for a regular one Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
It's already happening. Ferrari's Apple play vs what others charge. Special paints 42k Painted shield 16k Carbon wheels 32k I could go on- Tailor Made speaks for itself which is hard to even get appointment. Read a Tailor Made or special build sheet - it will say extra options $ six figures all day long.
Of course people do. People pay more for larger screens, better batteries, better cameras, etc. (IPhone Pro) versus one that has a lesser screen, less battery life and cameras that are not as advanced (Iphone mini, etc.) There is always going to be price differentiation within models.
You mean after the price increase - which is way more than 4500.00 That was my point - they already are charging.
I could see myself living with a hybrid V12. My SF90 Spider is an impressive piece of kit. However when I am grabbing the keys to one of my spider F cars, I generally opt for the 812GTS versus the SF90 Spider or 296GTS. To me, and to the people in my circle whom could never afford a Ferrari, the idea of an all electric Ferrari is off putting. People still connect Ferrari to a (screaming) ICE. I could never see myself paying 500K for an all electric Ferrari, regardless of performance. Just seeing how EV's are holding their value is baffling to watch. Dropping up to 50% in value after 1-2 years. However, this is my current state. The world evolves and so should I. So who knows, an all electric Ferrari will be on my horizon as well. The fact that I (we?) can't envision it, doesn't mean it's excluded forever.
The SF90 is an amazing car, but when I see videos of people wondering why they aren't selling, I just shake my head. The car will appreciate in time, but for other models, the "red button" is putting smiles and smirks on owners faces. The 812 successor will sell; as you pointed out with age groups, I just think it would have sold a bit more without haptic controls. When EV is mandatory, hey, I'm haptic all the way!
If Ferrari just made a replacement steering wheel with buttons and knobs. Call it the "Legacy Wheel". Maybe Novitec will do it!
Who really cares? I have to count three of my F-cars to get that number. Each is more desirable for me.
Spectre is stunning BTW RR was always about "no sound" and "lounge interior". So 100% it makes sense. But Ferrari was never "soundless" and a "lounge". Horses for courses
EV BarcaLounger is perfect for RR, Maybach and Bentley sedans. Smooth as silk leaving you fresh as a daisy. Ferraris, Lambos, McLaren etc are about sweat, noise and a comfortably uncomfortable ride which leaves you exhausted, exhilarated and wanting for more. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Ferrari says EV will not be soundless - in fact they are saying sound will be - amazing. Imagine an old F1 or FXX orchestra in an EV! Ferrari may surprise us all - it's what they do and the line is getting longer. 812 replacement is going to be interesting - hoping coupe / spider announced and limited only going to 812 current owners. Ferrari should reward those who don't get in / out like a fast food joint. SF90 ownership for XX imo was brilliant.
When people can buy a 1,000 hp Ferrari that’s faster than a LaFerrari for under $500k usd base price, they will have a 2 year wait list very quickly, despite the fact that many will despise it. That’s ok. Different strokes as they say. The sad thing is that the V12, which is beloved by all of us on this thread, is being phased out for regular production after F 167.

The Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan was an adulteration of the 250 GT Berlinetta SWB, carried out by a group of former Ferrari employees that Enzo fired. To annoy us and hide the lines of the F167, Ferrari this time decided to recreate the Breadvan in this latest mule. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
