I’ve reached out to Chris and the group for over 3 years with numerous emails and conversations looking for some resolution for judging consistency, mainly pertaining to copiglia clamps on the heater hoses. The parts book that we presented clearly shows the small 5mm strap on most all of those hoses. My original cars and photos that I have presented clearly had the correct spiral wrap heater hose with 5mm copiglias.

On judging sheet from Sebring - “should be 9mm clamps instead of 5mm” “breather hoses were green, should be clear” “vacuum hoses and clamps 1 point deduction."

And then there are the Cavis hoses.

From a judging sheet at Cavallino "the small hose is a dark green Cavis hose that leads into a more common looking light green hose -1/2 point deduction”

This year at Cavallino I decided to bring an entire bag of used, assorted Cavis/Pirelli vent hose to the Friday seminar but i was told if I didn’t have chassis numbers accompanying the hoses from 275 gtb/4’s it could not be taken into consideration. Even though I had assorted sizes of contemporaneous, new cavis hose, none could be considered as a basis. I was told that Marcel advised him that it needs to have a chassis number associated with it.

The different diameter Cavis hoses are not the same color. Which shade of green should they be? If the engine gets run it changes the color of the hose depending on if it is exposed to fuel vapor or oil vapor. So should we not ever put fuel in the car and then tow it on the field to avoid the deduction?

Once again, where do we go from here? Is anything going to be done about this or is it just the way it is?
    Would like some knowledgable feedback.

9 mm clamps will never match where 5 mm clamps will match - and vice versa
