Ha, yeah, and the leather needs a clean, which will be "a joy and a chance to start to bond with it".

    LOL.

It looks like the mileage is genuine, but now I need to increase that number!

That looks a fabulous example. Enjoy!

These are now a very rare sight here. I’ve just sold mine after 8 years of ownership, and not once in all that time did I ever chance across another, even with fairly regular trips to car shows, dealers, etc.

In case you need someone for repairs/servicing, I used (and would recommend) Tom at Keys Motorsport, based at Silverstone.

According to my brief research, there are only 85 RHD cars, of which only 24 were manual. I have now driven it and it is fabulous!

That is very useful, thanks. Does anyone know if the gear shaft spinning round and round is a known problem with the 412 (not just the knob)? I can see some chat here that it might be.

    Congrats!

The knob turns on my 400i, but not the actual stick...

    Cheers

Yes only 24 manual RHD 412s. According to my records, 14 are in the UK, 4 in Australia, 2 in each of Ireland and Hong Kong and 1 in New Zealand. One RHD manual was destroyed in a fire.

All the sticks I've seen so far are rotating. Some rotate more freely than others though. There was a discussion on the subject (bushings?)

Would you guys agree with the Bonhams description that the interior is Ferrari Beige?

Thanks, David. Is there some database where all this is known, or do you just know a LOT about the 412 series?
