Hahahaha! Hilarious. Even I know that one of the more recent 911s (was it the 991 or 997) all had to be recalled as the engines were blowing up after just a few months. Stop drinking the koolaid. 911s are nice cars for old men but ****ing boring compared to Ferraris.
ScottD use to make me laugh when he said many years ago "could you imagine Carl with a lot of money ?" I'd do the same thing ....... buy heaps of cars
If I was going to buy an air-cooled Porsche this would be it a 964 RS N/GT . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It got out of hand in about 2010. I am into S -Class Mercedes-Benz from the 1970s and 1980s. They were worth so little money back then the last one was gifted to me. I had about 10 of them, taking the total count to around 28 cars. I've trimmed it down to 17 presently, however I want to get that down to 10. I can manage that. It's hard to manage more when you maintain them all yourself. There's just so much good s h i t out there lol. The legacy of not having kids I guess!
Here's another image to thrill John. My late father whom was exceptionally generous with his cars and allowed me to drive them on occasion, drove a 928 S4 in the early 1990s. I asked if I could drive it to the Rob Roy hill climb in 1994. And enter it in the event. He said "yes" (I was stunned). Rob Roy is quite a tricky run up the mountain, there's a right hand turn onto the bridge and it's easy to unsettle the car on the entry. A few cars were dinged against the armco on the bridge. The 928 was exceptional that day, basically just be very careful on the entry to the bridge, otherwise it's flat out. I came away with a trophy. Hard to believe it was 30 years ago.
