I hope I’m wrong but it looks like no CNBC tv coverage this season. A quick online check showed some type of pay network in the U.S. only. MotoGP offers their own streaming service but I enjoyed the CNBC coverage over the past several years.
    Anything new on this?

Looks like the Sprint on Saturday (0630 ET) and the Race on Sunday (0830 ET) will be on TruTV. It's on their website, but my cable lineup has not updated yet.

Looks like they changed it again to Sprint Sat 0600 ET and race Sunday 0830 ET. Though my recording of World's Dumbest Criminals seems to be the sprint race.

Make sure you check for your time zone and provider, because my TV lineup is showing the sprint is on later today, which is different from TruTV website which said it already happened.

Funny thing, allegedly the Saudi F1 GP was today Saturday because Ramadan is beginning tomorrow... but MotoGP will have the race on Sunday in Qatar (which is, AFAIK, another Muslim country...)

MotoGP is my only app subscription at 140 euro for a year. I watch through Apple TV and see all practice, qualifying and racing. It is the sport I enjoy and not dependent on any local network affiliate.

So Bagnaia is still strong, apparently...
And maybe Ducati is going to bring back the Marc Marquez of a few years ago ?

I hope TruTV gets their scheduling together. The broadcast was very good, longer before and after the race. But, I had to record some odd shows to piece together the race, since the program guide was wrong. The Sprint and Race were in other listed shows, but the scheduled "MotoGP Racing" wasn't the race. Maybe just my local provider's problem.

My Xfinity guide showed the sprint race on Saturday and the main on Sunday spot on, with reruns Monday. DVR'd both. Lots of background, interviews and commentary. No complaints, Forza TruTV (actually part of the TNT network group) and Forza Ducati!

Seems my local provider's channel listings need updating. Happens a lot with our provider and our unique time zone. But very glad to be able to watch MotoGP! I have all the DVD season reviews back to 1983, but they stopped doing DVDs in 2019, so I need to watch them in real time.

In USA, yes, it was on cable TV...TruTV aka TNT Sports
Yes, TruTV scheduling, or the cable TV guide, is faulty.
The "replay" on TruTV was the first broadcast for both the Sprint and the Race, is what I found.
Guess will see about the next race braocast, which I believe is March 24, 2024.

As for the race, I agree with the broadcaster, the top 4 finishers are the best riders of the "pack".

I also recall a statement that the entire field has one at least one GP in their careers.
    And 8 world champions contesting.

I love to see M Mar on last year's Ducati being competitive.
Honda and Yamaha, how the mighty have fallen, I hope they get they get their bikes competitive.
KTM looks good this year and I would not be surprised if the bike is at the top this season.
    And GasGas, what I surprise.

Me too. Not "cheap", but the value is there. All the coverage I could want, no commercials, some decent bonus content, don't have to pay for cable tv, etc. Money well spent if you're into MotoGP IMO.

My local TruTV is still not accurate. It shows the schedule as if I were on Eastern Time Zone, but doesn't play that way. I recorded everything from midnight until 10 AM today (Saturday) but no Sprint race. But 12 episodes of World's Dumbest Criminals...

Could watch the sprint race live :)
That's real racing; Portimao seems very unforgiving : for such a short race, many falls, and Bagnaia's mistake moved him from 1st to 4th.
We'll see what the race will bring; still, as expected after last year, it seems Aprilia and KTM are able to challenge Ducati - if not for titles, at least for occasional wins.

Yes, Portugal Sprint... what a great track.
    No spoilers.

    Yep, KTM is strong.
Last year I routed for Quat as the underdog.
Alas poor Quat, as Yamaha, at this point, just doesn't seem to have a top bike.

This year, I am routing for M Marq.
The "old man" has still got it.
    Just like me LOL.

The 2023 vs 2024 Ducati comparison is interesting.
I'd love to see a full technical analysis of the differences.

Yep, Bag made a costly error in the Sprint, and thankfully did not crash.
He is still a top contender and I won't be shocked if he repeats as champion.

Portugal Race tomorrow, Sunday March 24, 2024, and in USA broadcast on TruTV, which seems to have their broadcast schedule up and running correctly.

No spoiler from me - except that Pedro Acosta has been impressive with the GasGas (which is actually a KTM).

    Wow, what a race.
    Many surprises.

    Pedro A. is awesome.
I could agree it seems he has great front tire/ load/ steering control.
Almost like he is riding on dirt instead of pavement.
I honestly can't wait to see his performance over the year.

Bag seemed to have a difficult time.
Not sure why except perhaps the other riders were just better today.
He just seemed of the pace, but perhaps he was saving himself (or tires) for the second half of the race.
M Marg and his aggressiveness, just wow, oh how he wants to podium this year.
Mav Vit, heartbreak, yes for sure, not sure, a clutch, engine lockup, other mechanical issue?
    Mav was "on it".
And again Bag, well no spoilers.

Yes, the GasGas (w/ Pedro), KTM, Aprilla and Ducati all seem capable of winning.
And still Yamaha, just not a championship motorcycle, even with the rule allowances.

USA broadcast times on TruTV (TNT Sports) is accurate, but the "picture" seems to be in a low quality...I hope TruTV update the quality.
I am enjoying their broadcast team, noting that two of them are former Superbike champions.
This certainly is a change from last year's coverage and broadcast team.
Yep, I love this sport; glad to watch it.

I think the next race is COTA (USA Texas) in 3 weeks?

    Mav Vin update from Portugal.
    Aprilla.
    Gear box.
I hear he had issues shifting to 6th, all race long, and then the gear box broke.

    SPOILER >>>>>> below

Appears, while in contention for the podium, to have missed a shift (6th?) in the straightway to turn one, ran wide in turn one, then a rear lock up and horrible looking crash ("bucked off" the biker) outside the track limits. Looks like he is okay/ no injuries :)

I totally missed the season opener since I didn't know it had changed networks. I had to do another search for it & set it record series on my Direct TV Now. The upside is that Tru TV is running the Saturday races & the Sunday races so I ended up with 2 races to watch today. The first half hour is all talking heads & recaps anyway (just like it was on NBC/CNBC) so as long as the end doesn't get chopped off you should be ok. Even then that is usually interviews, trophies, & more talking heads so you wouldn't miss the actual race finish.
