0136 E was born "Grigio" (Avorio Antico 1009 Lechler = Ivory). With Blu Ceruleo interior. Sister car to 0134 E. Marcel Massini
Thank you Andrew for the 315s color photo of 0684 at Elkhart, which enlightens the chronology. Here is the June 1957 photo at Le Mans, car No.8 (published photo, not my photo). Perhaps the seats were changed at some point after the MM and LeMans, ahead of selling the car on. Image Unavailable, Please Login

when I was restoring and researching the 121LM and stripped all of the old finish, it was covered with the gray battleship gray American surplus paint that was used at the time after World War II thousands of gallons of paint was cheap I have a formula we came up with between me and David Smith, many years ago, he was very helpful in some of the restoration detail at the time, including a very good job with the original headlights Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Are you sure that the wooden case in the first picture is the same of the other pictures ? In the first one there's written 212 Inter, while the second shows 212 Export spyder. 212 Inter had odd chassis numbers while 212 Export had even numbers. Same car or two different cars ?
Pic 3 (post 12553): Compare the size/height/tallness of the woman on the left with the size of the people on the right, even if they are standing on some wood. Marcel Massini
Same car in 2016 being restored by Cremonini in Lesignana near Modena. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
IMHO in pic #1 , the wooden case contains the 212 Inter ch.#167EL delivered in Montevideo to Pike & Co., Ltd. ( as readable with some difficulties an the other side of the case) .
0167 EL was sold new to Mr. Renato in Catania, Sicily, Italy, on 10 April 1951...............(Source: Factory paperwork in my archive) Marcel Massini
